Adobe Photoshop -
Edit>Adjustment>Desaturate, to get the black and white effect. Then you use the history brush to paint over the area you want to revert to color.

:badpc: I don't have that option on Photoshop Elements :sad2:

So is there a way to get this technique - B&W with colored areas - in Photoshop Elements? I have version 3.0.

chip and dale teasing pluto! lol... they kept tapping his shoulder then pretending it wasn't them... then the other one would do it.. (ok, maybe you had to be there... lol!)

Ok, that is funny! :rotfl2:

Great capture by the way. Hopefully, this was a hole-in-one?
Oh yeah. He was winning so he was happy. I beat him the game before so he had to redeem hisself. It made for a good pic :goodvibes

206Bones...I also use ps elements and I do that effect by duplicating the layer. Then remove the color of that new layer. The bottom layer still has color, so if you then erase the top (black and white) layer the color from the botom layer shows through. there may be an easier way, but that's the way I've been doing it.

Another different castle scheme, red(kind of pink?), white and blue snowflakes :wizard:
