Disney PI question

LOL Squish!!! I hear ya!!! What sorts of questions did they ask you?

Best of Luck!!! I hope you get GR!! Jennie's BFF is a PI at GR at EPCOT right now!

she asked me a lot of questions about why i wanted the jobs that i selected... she asked me what i would do if i had a guest in front of me, the phone was ringing, and i had a task to do who would grab my attention first... and she asked me what my greatest accomplishment over the last year has been... that was a tough one

Felicia! Are you on here trying to get tips for Jennie??? Tell her to calm down; she'll be fine :-)

PS. Tower John!

Well after an AWESOME screening interview for Management/Theme Parks Operations & Guest Relations now i have to wait for the long period.

some of the questions:

what qualities should a manager possess

if I've ever had to work with groups of people or alone with one you prefer or feel more comfortable with

what skills I could bring to that job

why i wanted the jobs that i selected particulary

any previous work experience and if any was disney related (for alumni proof only)

working under pressure, multi tasking. how u perform and if you ever fall behind in a job what would do

she mentioned that i applied for other roles, and wanted to know if i wanted to apply for any other and wich one

what are the task involved in guest relations

at one point i maked sure the i was trilangual (Spanish, Italian, English)

she asked me if i wanted her to meke me any other question (weird hah)

and if i have any question...

end.

^^Lol, what did you have her ask? That is weird and that would stump me... haha

Awesome, thanks! Did they give you any indication of when you might hear something?

Good luck!

Actually i did, since she dint asked me specifly which one (role) do i prefer, i made her a story that one of my managers told me...

And she said that its gonna take a while (months) before i hear anything from them, and that its going to be via email.

you can't count on extensions being offered. If they are offered, they are usually limited. If extensions are available and someone meets the requirements to extend, they may not be able to just because of the few openings.

plus, you can only be in an internship for 12 consecutive months.

I meant extend the spring program into summer. It would still only be 12 months then. I have met quite a few people who did it this way, some even switching roles each time like I mentioned. Of course it isn't guaranteed but there are ways to improve the odds, starting with a perfect record card.

when you do your screening, is it with someone in the department you applied or is it any rep from the disney PI program?

The screening is random. When they move your information on the department will begin looking at resume's and start scheduling role-specific interviews at a later date. Most of those interviews don't begin taking place until after the deadline to apply for the PI's has passed.

oh, ok. thanks. Haven't had my screening yet (or the oppertunity to schedule one) and the manager said he'll get my stuff sometime in the next week. Is that good or bad?

What did you apply for that you were able to talk to manager already? I applied as soon as they went up on the 31st and still no communication whatsoever. :/

well, i applied, then got an email thanking me for applying, but it said i needed to directly email the science manager the information (cover letters, letter of rec, resume). I did and thats when i got some communication. He said he should have my application sometime next week (this upcoming week now)

You applied for animal programs right? Which ones did you apply for? I thought you didn't need letters of rec
