Hi everyone,
I waited for my photopass CD to arrive so that I could upload my photos to their website with all of my borders / effects on them, as I thought they would look really nice in the photobook. Now I find that the borders are cut off when you put them in the photobook. :(

Has anyone else discovered this, and is there a way round it? You can't seem to crop or move them so that the entire photo and border can be seen.:confused3

I don't think you can use the border pictures for the Photobook (unless perhaps you resize them?)

I guess that I'm just confused! When I ordered our books I did it at the same time as I ordered the photos. I uploaded some of the photos that we took and used them in the book, but I did that prior to doing our order. I've got photos in our books with borders on them. Things may have changed, the last book I did was Dec 2012.

You can put borders / stickers on the photobook but you can't add the photos from the CD which you have already added borders to (I think). It is taking me forever to do it. I have uploaded some of my own photos. Fingers crossed it will look OK.:thumbsup2

When I did my last photobook I had no problem uploading and using our pics with borders on. Do you mean that when you upload them the borders don't sit properly (size wise) within the frame?

Yes, that's what I mean. I can only seem to move the image around, not resize it.:confused3

I'm trying to cast my mind back to the last time I made one as I still haven't sorted through our photo's yet to start making our photobook!

You could try to make a copy of the photo you want to upload, then using a program - paint will be fine - resize the photo leaving a white border around the edge, then you will be able to use the photobook tools to magnify it, move it around and make the photo fit the frame?

Thanks, although I genuinely think that is beyond my capabilities. I just thought it seemed silly to allow you to add borders that then would not fit (easily) into their photobook.:confused3

Is it cropping the whole border or just part of it (i.e. one side or two opposite sides)?

I don't think it's the size - it's the ratio.

That's why they give you the option to save your image multiple times in different ratios with the borders, although there is no way you could have known how to save each photo if you hadn't tried them in your photobook first.

I haven't done a Disney photo book. Do you have the option of adding stickers and other little embellisments? It may serve you better to simply use the original image for the ones that crop really badly and add your own stickers and extras within the photo book app.

Yes, it crops part of the border. I'm going to stick with the unedited photos. I didn't even consider saving them with a different ratio.:confused3
