Hi everyone. I returned from WDW on Sunday and have finally had a chance to look at my photopass pictures and edit them. I preordered the CD. I have completed my order, put the code in and it erased the current price as it was supposed to do. Now it is asking again for credit card information. It was my understanding I pre-payed. Did anyone else have to add their credit card information again? I don't want to pay twice and have to go through the hassle of trying to get my money back.
Thanks again for any replies. The trip was wonderful and the Halloween Party was worth the money in spite of the first hour being very rainy. What's a little rain when your at WDW?

I think is for the shipping. I had to pay $7.00 dollars I think for the shipping. It should tell you there what is for. :thumbsup2

You might want to call about it. I have called the PhotoPass CMs and they were very helpful. It's been awhile, but I thought the pre-pay included shipping. I don't know for sure. It wouldn't hurt to call though.

Here is there phone number from their website:

Thanks for the quick answers. I tried to call but the Photopass people are only in from 9-1. I decided to just go ahead and put in my credit card information since I could elect not to submit it.
Pixiedust32 you were correct. The charge is for shipping. My preorder summary states Standard Shipping $0.00 and order total $99.95. It seems they either don't charge for shipping and expect we will pay it when we order, or shipping is included and we got charged anyway. I took it to mean shipping was free, but what in life is free anymore?
I plan to call them when they are in and ask about it and let them know to avoid confusion they should let people know there will be an additional charge for shipping when you order. The seven bucks wouldn't scare me away from ordering. It would just be nice to know it will cost me more, ahead of time.
Thanks again for your help. I turned seventy something pictures into almost 400 with editing and adding backgrounds. It was really nice to have some of the special effects shots they do during MNSSHP. They alone were worth the price of the CD.

The pre-order info is all ridiculous. The shipping charge for the pre-order code is zero, as they don't ship anything.

But there is a shipping cost for the actual CD.

I got a CD last year and it was different, the shipping was included, however this time I noticed the 7 dollars shipping :confused3 so I went and paid them, indeed the amount of pics you get in the cd were worth the price. :woohoo:

Makes perfect sense now that I just spent $7 for shipping:rolleyes:

Thanks for the tip. I can save myself the additional expense of a long distance phone call (which would probably be an additional $7)

It would be nice if it was all spelled out before you placed the order. Again, I would have purchased it even with the additional shipping, but tell me ahead of time, in bold print, shipping cost is not included.

I ended up shy a few pictures because of a PDA issue with the photographer. I asked them to retake them, but they wouldn't and assured me they would "show up" because they took a picture of my photopass card. I guess as a bonus, they gave me four pictures of a nice looking couple at Epcot that we do not know. We were at MK when the PDA malfunctioned and did not have any pictures taken at Epcot.

But I tried and the system won't let you check out :( who knows then. You're right, they should spelled out....

That explains it! Mine was last year too. I didn't know it had changed.

I love my photopass pictures. They are completely worth it. :)

I didn't either until it was time to check-out :confused3 anyway, completely worth it indeed :woohoo:

The reason they need your credit card is definitely for the shipping cost. It says it on my receipt. You are charged the $149.95 for the photopass even though it is a preorder. Then you put in your discount code that was emailed to you and it subtracts the $149.95 leaving you a zero balance. That's where I got confused. When it asks for credit card info again, I'm thinking I'm going to be charged the $99.95 again, which I definitely already paid for. You are given a choice of standard shipping for $7 or quicker shipping at a higher rate. It was still not clear what I was paying for until I submitted my information, then it did say the charges were $7 for standard shipping.
So mystery solved. Expect to pay at least $7 for shipping once you submit your order.
Now, the wait is on to get my CD. I took over 1,000 pictures on my own, so I will be spending quite a while reviewing pictures. Thanks everyone for helping me solve the shipping mystery.
