Hello!

Can someone clear the air on the whole master proof debacle for me? I'm confused!

What can I expect to get with my package? What can I expect not to get? When can I expect the proofs? Or purchase the proofs? What are the costs associated? Anything esle I should know?

I'll try to answer your questions. And I'm assuming you are using Disney for your photography...

First, what you can expect to get (and not get) with your package depends on your package. What package are you considering?

You can expect the pictures/proofs about 4-6 weeks after your event.

For the intimate package, you can pre-purchase your proofs at $225 (although that price may change, that was the price for my September wedding). If you wait until AFTER your wedding, proofs will cost $5 each.

I used Disney for my intimate wedding and I was very happy with the results. I received over 60 images total. Twelve in the album (which cannot be removed) and the rest were my "proofs". And the low-res CD.

In three years, I will purchase the high-res CD for $99.

We're having a custom wedding, so I don't know if things are different. I might call the EM and ask what to expect.

We're getting the 8 hour package, I believe. We're also getting the "middle of the road" albumn with the artistic presentation, but not the totally wild one.

I will have to look into pre-purchasing the proofs...

Jill, I hope I can help. I am having a custom as well and having the 8 hour package. My planner told me during our planning session last week that we get ALL of our proofs for no additional fee. I was shocked, so I asked again adn she said no fee. So you get all your proofs as a custom bride and then chose one of the 3 album types. Depending on the size determines how many full photos you get. We are getting 80 in our artistic album and not gettng the parent album.

Also the proofs do not say "proof" on them and they are about 4x6 in size.

We also had the eight hour package and the MK Photo Session for our wedding last month. We received a total of 645 proofs from Disney about a month after our wedding. We ordered a low resolution cd-rom with all of our pictures on it for $75.

I had an intimate and got a package of information about the "photo package upgrades" available to Disney Intimate brides from Disney photographic services...if you have their email or phone number, get in touch with them and ask them to send the info to you.

I don't have a problem emailing what I got to you, but considering how often Disney sometimes changes things, you might be better getting the info straight from them. If you want to see what they sent me, I would be more than happy to send it to you...just send me your email address in a PM.
