Hello,
I'm looking for members who have used the Disney Photographic Service. I've called and gotten the price lists, about what I expected. Now that I've decided to try this I have a few questions.

1. If we select the MK for our location are the pictures taken only in front of the castle? Anyone have any past experience? Are there other locations I should request?

2. What colors did you wear? We don't have to be "twins" or anything but I would want us to blend.

3. Did you go first thing in the morning? Is this after the park opens or before? Early Entry (I can't remember what they call it now) or on a different day?

4. What am I not aking that I should be asking? What did you discover after you had the picture session that you wished you had known previous?

My children are 9 and 5. We, like you, love WDW and I think this would be a fantastic way to catch some of those precious memories. THANKS for any and all your help.

Jacqueline

The only experience I have had is working with the WDW photographers at the World Showcase in Epcot. My DH and I went to almost every country while it was closed to the general public and took posed pictures in different areas. The photographer was very friendly. Here's the advice I can give you. If you don't think the shot he/she takes is "perfect" take it again until you are satified. They are professionals and can seem to be very quick and wisk you off to the next shot (I am sure they have done this hundreds of times). Make sure you are happy with it.

If you see a place where you would like a picture taken and it doesn't look like you are headed there - ask.

When we got our photo album it was absolutely beautiful. But I was curious as to what had happened to all the other photos they had taken. We didn't get to pick which ones got put in. But if we wanted to order more we could from a website online. All the pictures are taken with a digital camera.

Anyway-I hope that helps.

Honeychild do you have the number you called to get prices and information. I would really like to do this on our next trip and Im curious how much I should budget for and what options are available. Thanks

Here's what I know:
407-827-5099

You pay a $250.00 sitting fee. That fee includes upto one hour with the photographer and a set of proofs (25 to 30, I think). They are of professional quality. Also, there is a seperate price list for larger pictures.

I know you can have the pictures made at MK, Epcot, AK or the resorts. I've seen some MK and Epcot. At first I was thinking MK and the castle. Now that I've seen the Epcot ones and love them too. I'm trying to decide.

I've been speaking with Dean and he is very helpful.

Hi Honeychild-

Im curious- I contacted Dean last week and he e-mailed me the information regarding the cost. I did ask if there was a website that I could go to to see examples of pictures that they have taken, but he didn't provide me with that information ( I had left a message on his machine, didn't talk directly with him).

Did Dean provide you with examples of pictures?

Thanks a bunch!

Liz

Honeychild or someone that has done this could you please share your online photo album. I would love to see if this is possibly something we could do with our family. Thanks so much!

Thank you for posting info on this. DH read about this somewhere and has mentioned having it done when we go in December. We are staying at WLV and thought of splurging. So any additonal info, please post :D Just verifying, its $250 and you get 25-30 pictures and only an hour? Are you able to put the photos in an album? We would really have to figure out where we would want them taken, an hour is not a lot of time:confused:
