Disney photo processing costs?

Has anyone had their pictures developed at one of the Disney photo labs? Is it ridiculously expensive? Do they do same day processing?

We plan to take our a Christmas card picture of our daughter while we're there, and I thought I might get them developed before we left just in case it doesn't turn out. I'd rather use 35mm film instead of our digital camera because the print out is a lot better.

Just curious! Thanks!

What kind of 35mm camera and what kind of digicam are you using? Because even the low-end 2MP digicam at 4"x6" print, you'll virtually can't distinguish the difference.

if you have the 2MP you cant tell the difference when something isnt moving... put it in motion and then it gets a little grainy...

We have used the photo lab before. I believe the cost was $15.00 for double prints, 24 exposure. 24 hour turn around.

Fatcow - I use a Canon Rebel 35mm that takes great pictures and my digital camera is a Fuji Finepix. I don't have a good enough printer for printing out the digital photos myself, so I've had to send them off to places like Shutterfly and Ofoto. They look okay at first, but when I compare them to my 35mm prints, it's no contest.

Do you have a better suggestion for printing out my digital pics? I thought that was just the cost of convenience.

Shelleybell - thanks for the price info!

Interesting, the monorail in my photo is moving, looks good to me, even at 8x10.

Horizons16,

What kind of camera are you using? Certain cameras have interlaced/progressive selection. If you use interlaced, then anything moving will look somewhat blurry. This has nothing to do with 2MP, but because of the interlaced mode.

Also note that there are cameras that claim to have 2MP but actually 1MP interlaced upsampled to 2MP equivalency. IIRC, JVC was one of the brand that used to use this line-doubling technology about 3 years ago.

Some of current Fujis are using similar technique to that. However, they are upsamling the picture from progressive to progressive so you won't get the blurry picture.

Wow, I wish you lived closer, then you could teach me how to use the Nikon 5000 that is rapidly heading towards being tossed out the window.

Well, if you have any question, just ask, hopefully I can answer. If not... well, let's stumble together! :D

LOL, thank you, but, I think I am going to sell it.

Does anyone know of a place on Disney property where I could printout digital photos from my memory card. Places like Wal-Mart have kiosks setup, where I can plug in my card, choose some photos and then have them printed in one hour. Unfortunately, we won't have a car to get off property so we were hoping to find a place in WDW.

Any help would be appreciated,
Norm
