HI
I have decided it would be nice for my DD to have the photopass and memory book package. Can anyone tell me how much it is and if there are any offers on? I noticed if you book a holiday though disney they are suppose to send you a card you can register before you go:confused3
I have never used one and after looking at some of the pictures where people have stich sitting with them and holding simba I thought DD would love it . I know some of you got a good deal a while back.Do you ask the CM to add characters to the photo or do you do it when you come home? Can you recommend anywhere I can read up on how it works.

thanks
alyson:lovestruc

You don't get a card before you go, but you can pre order the CD at a discount ($99 total cost). There is a discount for the photobook and CD package too, but I need to search for the thread with the link for that.

You register yourself to an account and your account is credited with the value of whatever you pre order. When you get to the parks you pick up a Photopass card from anywhere really, guest services, photopass photographer, etc. You scan this card for all pics they take of you while you are there. When you get home you register your card to the account and you can view all your pics. This is where you can add the borders and images. Some photographers in the parks are able to add special effects to the pictures when you have them snapped. Sometimes they offer. Sometimes you have to ask.

Thanks guys. Want the book more than the cd. Will have a good read.:thumbsup2

Shout if you get stuck. :goodvibes

It's just a thought, but if you order the CD you own all the images of the pics taken, edited as you have done them with borders, icons and Disney text. This will allow you to make your own photobooks here in the future, which also make nice gifts. I love the look of the Disney photobook but they don't give enough leeway for the likes of me because I like to customise EVERYTHING (I want my own papers, angles and extras). Now the Disney photobook is great and has wonderful reviews so I am not suggesting you order the CD instead of the book but it may be worth looking into the package. I only mention this in terms of having the CD because if you DO want to play around at some stage UK photo places have some great deals most of the time for making more of your own if you so wish.

Thanks Tiggs. I didnt think I could order just the book anyway:confused3 Was going to order the package but saying that and reading some of your other posts then it may be possible to get a book done here at some point. I dont know how many pages disney put in the book or how much extra per page it is. May just get the cd. OHHHHHHHHHHHHH decisions decisions:yay::headache:

If you really want the Disney Photobook then get the photobook. But honestly, if you are only going to pick ONE of them, then get the CD and you can do a photobook at your leisure.

Hi, when you are getting the characters added it is a good idea to check later on that they have been added as on a few of ours they were not added. We look really strange doing these poses and there is nothing there.

The poses they make you do are standard for the effects they have to offer. I agree that you should check regularly, at least every few days. If the effects have not been added a CM in the photo shop can do this for you.

Alyson, I was just on the allears site and they have a bit more detailed info on the CDs and photobook, which appears to have 10 double sided pages. It gives size and dimensions too. You need to scroll some way down though as there is a lot of information on there. Here is the link

I am not moderator material - I talk too much :lmao: I just love these boards and enjoy being involved in them. :lovestruc Besides, I only know about some of the things you asked because I had the same questions at some point and I am a bit of non-impulsive person and therefore a researcher. Pleased that you found the links helpful. They are both great information sites.

Do you have to pre order the photo pass or can we just have the pictures took whilst we are there then pay when we have checked through the pictures once we get home? :confused3

If you pre-order you pay $99, if you don't like the pics and decide you don't want the CD's then you get a full refund.
Or you can wait til you get home and then decide you want to buy but you pay full price $149, Far cheaper to pre-order.
