We love Captain Hiram's. They have changed their menu a little bit. Dh doesn't like the fact that you can no longer pick what kind of fish you want for the fish and chips.

The kids love their lime slushies.

I laughed when I read about Kipper. Once in a while Dh will walk up to me and say, in a British accent, "keep still, I'm goin to kiss you now." I think Kipper used to say something like that.

We booked a few days at Vero for the end of the month. We were going to go to Animal Kingdom Lodge but there has been a change of plans.

I only hope I can survive the long drive to the resort. :rotfl2:

My kids had the rasberry, but I can see how the lime would of been good.

Yes Kipper does say that. I actually have a big talking kipper (bought on ebay) that says that, but DD isn't into him so much. I have a small one also, but it was the terry coth kipper she is attached too. It worked great for us because he washed up well in the machine.

Have a good stay at vero. It is always funny staying some place so close to home. Like you want to run home and grab stuff you forgot.

Thanks.

Funny story. Turns out Pluto'sFriend was at Pulix the same time as us May 6th and thought we looked familar. It wasn't until she got home and saw my sig that she knew it was us. How funny is that??????

Great report! I love love love the pics. The girls are so cute. :goodvibes

I just finished the first part of your trip report, it's great. We were at MK on the same grad night and went to Epcot after it closed too- we even took the monorail over. That's too funny about the lady picking up the baby duck, I wouldn't have been able to contain my laughter if I saw it. I love that your friends son thought he really went back in time, too cute! I'll finish the rest as soon as I get a chance.
ETA- I can't wait to read about Vero Beach, with the talk on the mom's thread (is that where I saw it?) I think we're going to have to go there next year!

Just finished your report. It was great! Glad you all had such a great trip and got to meet several DISers. I enjoyed reading about Vero Beach. I think we will have to do that when our child(ren) is older. LOVED all of the pictures! Too cute! And Lily looks exactly like you! Sorry to hear about the Kipper doll though! :(

P.S. I wish I was as quick about getting my TR finished as you are! Kudos to you for staying on it and getting it done so fast!

Thanks, I am still looking forward to reading all of yours! I always think that is such a complament when people say Lily looks like me becuase I think she is doll. :goodvibes

I am going to call tmw and see if I can get any luck with the kipper thing. He is a pretty unique doll. I am going to try emailing or faxing another picture to see if they can hang it up or something. I think he was pretty well hidden in the room, because we doubled checked. He still might be behind the couch or something like that. (I guess I just don't give up too easy.)

Disney PhD, I am loving your trip report! :thumbsup2 Not finished reading it yet but I did cheat and look at the photos (will go back and read the rest of the days now). What a beautiful family!! Your girls are so like you, they have such classic good looks, they and you are beautiful!!

I'm so sorry about your DDs toy :( Don't give up hope yet. What about the Lost & Found Centres at the front of each park? Is there a way to contact them by phone? Maybe call guest services at each park? Also could you have left it on one of the Disney busses? If so, there is a central depot for items left behind on the busses - I seem to recall it being at or near the TTC. We lost our baby's blanky last year and unfortunately couldn't stay to chase it up but did phone that centre (just didn't have enough time for them to check and DD was attached to another 2 blankys anyway, thankfully!). If there is a chance that you left it on one of the Disney busses there's a great poster called Chip 'n Dale over on the Transportation board (he's a Disney bus driver) and he might have more info on how and who to call.

Looking forward to reading the other days...... great writing! :)

Thanks Deb,

I am not going to give up hope. Tmw I am getting on the phone and trying again. I am going to see if I can email or fax a picture and see if we can get it to a few of the park lost and founds too (She only brought it to Epcot and MK.) I admit I thought it was in a bag in the car, and it wasn't so I didn't worry about it until the last day. I can't remember when the last day we saw it was.

Here is a picture of the dog in quesiton. It was taken last May 2005.

She knows he is missing, but we aren't talking about it. However he has been gone or lost (in the house) for a few weeks before, and always turned up. I am hoping God has room in his busy shcdule for one very small lost dog miricle. :)

Aww! Cute little doggie. :( Good luck today with your phone call. I hope it brings good news!

I finished reading all your days - fabulous!!! I'm so impressed with the amount you got done and such a great, positive attitude. You look like a very happy, bonded family. That's where the real magic is. :goodvibes

I loved the part about the sea turtles at Coral Reef.... I guess they were having a very special 'in love' hug! :teeth:

Glad to hear your girls loved the parade... you know we missed all three afternoon parades last year (AK, MGM and MK)... we were always too tired by the time they came around. This year we're hoping to get to all of them with proper planning though. We did go to Spectro one night and it was the worst night for DD who was 15 months at the time.... she just cried and cried, poor baby (got some dirty looks that night I can tell ya! But it was too crowded to leave so I just hung back as much as I could). It was probably all the lights that freaked her out.... I hope she'll like the day time parades better.

It must be very hard to constantly find things to eat for your DD. I recall when my eldest son was off wheat for a year, oh man that was rough, especially as he had been obsessed with toast (truly obsessed, not using the word lightly) but I guess you do what you have to do. Glad most places were able to help you.

I felt so sorry for the little boy at the SSR pool - that's so cruel. Wouldn't ya just love to put a padlock on his Dad's pants when he's asleep and see him hopping from foot to foot trying to get the bathroom?!

Great report!!! :)

I really enjoyes your TR and all your picstures. Your DD's are adorable! Hope you get your Kipper back, that is really sad. :sad2:

Just finished, I loved it. I really think we will try Vero Beach next May, I may be bugging with a bunch of questions answers later on :teeth: . Great pics too, I love the girls dark hair!

Thanks kaysmommie and Ryan840. If you have any questions about vero in the future feel free to fire away. I love the place and love talking about it. My friend loved it too. Her trip there was based solely on my recomendations (that and she had almost a 1,000 on Disney rewards $$.) ;)

Update on Kipper. I called Central lost and found, they didn't have it (but it was worth a try.)

I called SSR back, they had all the info, and the CM said she put in a request to clean the room out and search (in and under everything) when the current guests check out. I hope he is hidding in the couch (she did sleep on it.) :)

She knows he never came home now, she is handling it pretty well, but it is pretty sad. :guilty:

:Pinkbounc Little Kipper Update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

I found one just like hers on ebay, it was BIN so I did. (I have been looking since we came home and there has been none listed just like this one until today.) The seller even lives in MI. It won't ship until Tuesday, because of the holiday, but still he should be home by next week so we are happy. Little PhD knows it isn't the same one, but she is happy. (and who knows maybe the real little Kipper will come home eventually too.) Never give up hope right?

Anyway I am very happy! :goodvibes :cool1: :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

I'm so pleased you tracked down Little Kipper's cousin. ;) I'm sure your DD will be very happy! Can't say I blame original Little Kipper really - WDW isn't a bad spot to retire to. He probably knew his 'cousin' needed a good home and your DD is just the girl for the job! :goodvibes
