Disney parks strategies and planning considerations - Simpsons style

During the first five minutes of tonight's episode they poked fun at kid rides, security, concessions, lines, outdated theming, politically correct attraction changes, and the time and transportation modes needed to get into the park. If anyone watching thought they could just show up at a park without knowing something about what to expect, I think this would make them at least a little curious. For those of us who have been to WDW, it all seems very familiar... And more than just a little amusing. Did anyone else see this?

ETA -- woops, apparently this was a repeat.

saw it the first time around...certainly got some chuckles from us!!!

Saw that last night too. Thought it was pretty funny an semi-accurate. I liked the plane with the "keep spending money" banner. Actually made me start thinking about whether the last trip was "worth it" and will we go again.

I miss the Simpsons! The last time I saw them poke fun was at Itchy and Scratchy land, where if you use flash photography, the audio-animatronics turn on you :)
And at Duff Gardens when they made Lisa drink the water. I'll have to look for this one!

Would love to see this! Anyone know the name and/or episode number? I'm sure someone saved it to youtube. I wanna see it. :yay:

I love the episode where the Simpsons go to Epcot! "Special Edna", season 14, episode 7

"Bart informs his family that, as nominator, he and his family are going to Orlando, Florida. The family is excited, until they learn the awards show is being held at the EFCOT Center theme park. At the EFCOT Center, Marge and Lisa go on a "World of Tomorrow" ride, "what the people in 1965 thought the world would be like in 1987." Homer and Bart go on an electric car ride, sponsored by "the gasoline producers of America", that tells them that electric cars can not go very fast or far, and "people will think you're gay" if you drive one."

^ That Electric Car bit is one of my favorites. I also like how Homer is so disappointed that they are going to Epcot instead of Magic Kingdom, and he climbs over the wall to "paradise" and buys a $10 churro.

"Bart! Stop teasing your sister! Lisa! Drink the water!"

"I can see the muuuuuuuuuuuuuuusic!"

My family says, "Lisa, drink the water!" on every boat ride in Disney. Every time. Never gets old ;)

So do we!!!!

Okay, my test for true Simpsons compatibility...

If I said, "I will not play dodgeball" that means...?

The episode is, "The Man Who Came to Be Dinner," originally aired on 1/4/2015 -- Season 26, Episode 10. Amazon Instant Video has it for $1.99
