Who in their right mind would sell below market value? You’d be leaving money on the table. There is a nightmare scenario for Disney DVC owners selling their points at 'below market' rates that forces them to burn cash to ROFR those points just imagine the result if 50K or so DVC members do this, The DVC price supports will collapse as Disney does not have the resources to absorb all those points. And of course Disney could not resist the urge to gouge the DVC members by maxing out the dues increase even though the resorts were closed for months.
I won’t, don’t worry. I enjoy everything Disney does and will continue going to the parks on a monthly basis for years and years to come.

I also think it’s incredibly shortsighted to sell out of DVC because you don’t like the changes to the parks due to a once in a century pandemic.
Fast forward to 2017 Marathon Weekend, We arrived to find our room reservation 'poofed' vanished into thin air, Had our paperwork but 'We cant accomodate you - have a magical day'
Thank Cthulu for those Marriott/Hilton points I had from business travel, Those and 2,500 bucks got me a grand villa at Marriott for the weekend. After that we immediately dumped our DVC points and hell will freeze over before we go back.
And what do you call Slinky Dog coaster,
It’s in a whole land themed to toy story. It’s incredibly themed.
It’s miles better than anything you’d find in a six flags.Incredibly is a very subjective word.
I think that depends on each person and each area. No doubt some things have changed. However quality in many areas has improved. I will take SWGE over the backlot for example. I think in some instances food quality has improved as well but in others dropped. Its all subjective.Thats honestly part of the reason why quality has dropped on so many things over the past decade or so.
Sure they would have, WDW has been the ATM for the Walt Disney company for a long time, These layoffs were long planned and the staff/shows they cut are never coming back in my opinion. They just cut 2 BILLION dollars of operating expense from the bottom line at WDW. Burbank's assumption is when Covid vaccine widely distributed people will flock to WDW because of the power of the BRAND just like they did before and they will for a while but they will soon realize Disney is now just like Six Flags some rides and that's it.
They don't realize that Disney parks were an artform meant to be EXPERIENCED and that was why there was layer upon layer of detail. Utilidors to keep people in the moment everything was about the EXPERIENCE of visiting a Disney park, Heck there were days I just spent wandering the park marvelling at how all the pieces fit together and how the pieces told a story.
All that's gone and aint never coming back with this crew in charge in Burbank.
Most yes, there will likely be some casualties. The shows will definitely be back.

Josh D'Amaro said himself today that entertainment will return.Yes, I'm sure. But for him to say none of the shows are coming back, or won't be replaced with something else, I don't believe that for a second. To me, the question is mostly when will they be back. I do see that being quite awhile yet unfortunately.
Its obvious you’re not a Disney fan, and have stated you will never be returning to Disney, so why are you clogging up a a Disney planning website forum with your anti-Disney sentiment? You’re not going to convince anyone here over to your viewpoint, you’ll just get the 1-2 lurkers who negatively post on all of these threads. I just don’t understand why people who actively hate Disney would want to troll a Disney forum. I would never waste the time going onto a forum for something I so disliked.
I don't think quality has suffered so much as variety of offerings. In my 20+ years of being an APholder only two things have irreplaceable to me, Star Wars Weekends and thre Osbourne Lights, both events that could easily be brought back (once covid restrictions ease up) but they most likely never willI think that depends on each person and each area. I never got to experience SWW (wish I had) but I will take what we got with SWGE if it was one or the other. Osborne is one of those things thats so hard. I am not sure how they could do that appropriately in another area. You also have far more parks experience than me but in my now 3 years as an AP I agree with what you said.I don't think quality has suffered so much as variety of offerings. Not everything they try pans out though either. Tomorrowland cabanas/tents for example.Agreed but i think they bank on the...it doesnt matter we will buy it anyway crowd rather than spending whats needed to truly make most things exceptional. It allows them to cut corners.
Loved them both as well. SWW were definitely special. At one of them I got brought in to a focus group meeting about the future of SW once Disney bought them. It was soon after the acquisition and Disney was asking a small group of people, myself included, what we wanted to see going forward (movies, shows, theme parks). They definitely went ahead on all fronts I’d say LOL!I don't think quality has suffered so much as variety of offerings.
