Not sure. Disney closed the loophole on using a child's AP for benefits/perks. A child can't drive, so not so sure about parking for free with the AP. I think the only thing a child's AP gets is a child entry into WDW parks for 365 days.
Where do we find information about parking? This will be our first year driving and I'm wondering if we have to pay or not? We have reservations to stay for 6 nights at the Beach Club....thanks for the post!
Staying onsite, parking at all the parks is free. Be sure to get a parking pass from the CM during check-in. They usually ask if you have a car, but just in case...

I usually just grab one of our APs and show it to the CM at the booth. Sometimes it was an adult AP, sometimes a child AP. We have never been asked for an Adult one specifically.
