Disney panoramic photos

Thanks Danny- Now I'm wondering what a stitched picture of shots taken while moving across would look like.

I would love to see that too!

The ride briefly stopped in the ballroom scene when I was there on 5/6/09 and I came out with this shot
532720983_jXZi8-L.jpg

30mm, 1/30 sec., f/2.8, ISO 12800

I was really hoping for it to stop in the graveyard... shooting that area is going to be the death of me (no pun intended). I just can't seem to manually focus on anything in that area.

I hear you with the caretaker. I couldn't get a decent exposure of him even at 1/25 sec, f/1.8, ISO 25600.

I had the ride stall and I was right in front of Madam Leota- but I had a pretty wide andle lens so it did not do me much good.

Jeff, I think I asked you this before but I can't remember what you told me: are you able to use AF on dark rides (HM in particular)?

Canons are terrible with AF in low light.

Thanks all-

Todd- It focuses okay in *low* light- not very good at all in *no* light. Some stuff in there is so dark I don't think anything will AF very well.

When in doubt, focus on the "dead center of the room". ;-)

I had never heard of that lens so I did a quick bit of Googling. I assume that's the Nikon 28mm F1.4?

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

OK, you're a little more serious about these on-ride photos than some of us! :teeth: I suspect we'll see you dumping your current gear and going for a Leica and their F0.95 lens soon!

:rotfl:

After I was done with the :scared1: I started in with the drooling. If the 70-200 f/2.8 is going to take as much convincing as I suspect it will with DH---the 28mm f/1.4 is neeeeever going to happen.

Great shots as always Jeff. You definitely take the usual Disney shots and put your own little twist on them, making them that much more memorable. :thumbsup2

The 28/1.4 has way more personality than the 70-200vr- I know- I had two and sold them both. ;)
