Hi,

Super excited, my Disney holiday paperwork arrived yesterday (well early, as we don't go for 22 days) :cool1:.

What I wanted to know was whether you get the Disney luggage tags now. I thought they had stopped sending them, but then saw a few people on here commenting about getting them again. (I know the us has always gotten them, but these comments were from UK dissers). I didn't receive any and wondered if I should call to try and get some as I know my daughters would love to get some.

Also in my paperwork I have the magical express booked, there is a voucher for it in my pack but it only says my name on it, should it say all our families names too? If so I assume I'll need to get them to send out the correct info.

Just don't want to waste my time or theirs phoning, especially after I spent 30 mins last night trying to get through with no response, assume they were very busy. So hope some of you may be able to advise me.

Thanks :thumbsup2

I don't believe that they send the luggage tags anymore and they certainly don't send ME luggage tags.

With regard to using ME you just need to turn up at the counter and they will print your vouchers to board the bus. I wouldn't worry it's only listed by your name as they will check it is for everyone listed on your reservation when you check in.

We received the luggage tags last August, but I think they have since stopped sending them.

As for the ME, I have never used it but I did book it for my mother and my daughter for our trip last year and their voucher just had my mum's name. I guess the reservation is in the lead name but on the system it says for the number of passengers in your party.

We got our pack on Friday but no luggage tags, I know we got them at Christmas when we went so they must have stopped them as you say.

ME just has lead name on, when you go to desk at ME they will give you boarding passes.

They haven't done them for a while you have to get your bags off the first luggage claim and then put them on the second belt. If you want ME to collect once they go onto the second belt you give the ME people a description of your bags and the tags with the Barr code you get when you check them in.
They can take up to three hours to get to you at your resort so pack some stuff in your hand luggage if you want to change/ swim when you arrive.
Otherwise just take your bags with you which we personally do as after a long day of travel I just want to unpack and crash out.

Ok, great thanks for confirming. Shame they don't send out the luggage tags anymore, but nevertheless, in less than three weeks I'll be out in wonderful Disney :cool1:.

One other question for you guys as you all know so much. I've read that you have to give tips for anyone who handles your luggage, and our extended family will have a large number of bags so wondering what the best way to reduce the amount of tips we have to pay. If we take the luggage to the people at me and get them to deliver them to the room, who would we have to pay tips too? Will we also need to tip the me driver?

Oh and someone mentioned about letting me collect your bags after the first/ second carousel, is that safe, has anyone ever lost a bag that way? Would it just be easier to get them off all the carousels then take them in person to the me desk?.

Thanks guys for all your helpful info so far :thumbsup2 .

We got our documentation last week. We are doing a cruise before our WDW stay and received luggage tags for the cruise section of our holiday but not the WDW section of it.

We have tipped the ME driver when we arrive at the resort usually $1 per bag.
Never used the service where they take it to your room I just want to keep my stuff with me.

If you take them on ME and need help once you get to the resort then you will need to tip the person that takes them a couple of bucks plus when they are delivered to your room you need to tip $1-2 per bag. You need to be in the room for them to deliver.

If you leave the bags back on the belt after customs (you have to collect them to go through customs) they will be delivered to the main terminal. You can proceed to the ME desk and describe your bags to them and also they ask for your luggage receipts. They will then collect and deliver direct to your room. The biggest issue for me with this is they say they will have your cases to your room within 4 hours after you check in meaning you might not get your cases till very late. Also until Disney collect them they are going round the carousel in the landside part of the airport where anyone can access them.

We also collect and take our with us.
