We have been to disney world several times and are getting better at the ins and outs... we just bought tickets to disney on ice.. have not done that before.. but would like to know..

Tips.. I read a few about bringing in cameras....

but do you get to meet with the characters at all? Maybe to take pictures..

Tips on the souvenirs?

Any other tips other than watching the show.. might bring the kids ear plugs read one post about someone getting better seats because it was too loud..

Excited.. we may not get down to disney anytime soon so this is going to tide us over for now..

We love Disney on Ice. We have been to several of the shows. It is a good Disney fix between trips.

Tips.. I read a few about bringing in cameras.... Definitely bring your camera. Be aware they move fast, so it can be hard to get good pictures.

No character meet and greets. There was a princess one once where before the show, there was an area where a princess would step out and wave, but she stayed on a little stage behind a rope. There are areas at each show where they have either cardboard cut-outs or statues of characters, and you can pay a ridiculous amount of money to have your picture taken with that. DD always wants to do that and it drives me crazy.

Tips on the souvenirs? Bring Money. There are a ton. They have things you can not get anywhere else (i.e. we have a Peter Pan Barbie type plastic doll from one that is a huge hit at our house). It can be hard to make a choice. We always spend way too much! Also, the cotton candy is around $10 because it usually comes with some type of hat- which can be hard if you have more than one kid with you. The snow cones are expensive because they come in character cups you can keep (note they are not the greatest cups because they have flapping lids not secure ones that you can put a straw through). Also if you plan on snow cones, bring paper towels or wipes in your purse. They put big overflowing balls on the top of them, and that is the only way they can do them, because I have asked if they could fill them less. We always have pieces falling all over everywhere when DD tries to eat it. They are a mess.

We've never found it to be too loud, and we have sat in the front couple of rows before. It probably depends on the arena and whether your ticket winds up right next to a speaker. If you are on the front couple of rows, you might want to bring a light sweater. I haven't needed it, but we usually bring my Mom too because she loves ice skating and she always complains it is freezing.

We went to the Princess one recently. Get there and in your seats early because they walk around and pick a few kids to be in the show. The kids behind us got picked. The ones in the show looked to be about 5 and up and they all had Disney clothing on

We have been to about 12 of them.

Tips.. never pay full price for tickets..

bring your own glow sticks or other light up today and give them to the kids during the snow.

You can say no when they ask you for every cheesy overpriced today

Eat before you go so they are not asking for everything.

I also bring juice boxes with me. Last time I went one of the larger popcorns had free refills which surprised me so we went with that one.

We booked for Disney on Ice as well (Princess Wishes) and going to the Giant Center in Hershey PA. I am curious about the seats, because I booked on ticketmaster and it didn't show our section so I had to call the Giant Center to find out where exactly we were located. Were the 3rd row back on the ice. I guess we can't get much closer!! Can't wait to see the seats either!

As for the cameras and taking pictures, check your camera settings because most cameras now have a setting for action which will take pictures of people moving!
