We saw "Disney On Ice: Finding Nemo" this past weekend in Kansas City.
I have seen a dozen Disney on Ice shows and they are always very well-produced (Kenneth Feld and Disney co-produced it).
Kenneth Feld also owns the "Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus", and produces the "Siegfried & Roy" magic spectacular in Las Vegas.
Well, THIS show (Nemo) was the best of all the "ice shows" I've ever seen.
The costumes, lighting, sets, props, special effects, music, choreography, and skating skills were perfect. Of course all of the original voices from the film where used in the live show.
There was even a totally original pre-show (and in-between-acts) voice-track the featured Dory and Marlin (Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks) bickering about the upcoming show (what it was about, who's in it, when it will start, etc.). It was very funny on its own.
I saw a thread here a few days ago about "Disney On Ice: The Incredibles" and how good IT was.
It had better be, well, INCREDIBLE, to top the Nemo show.
I can't describe what took place on the ice with any kind of accuracy, but the FISH where amazing (as were Crush, Squirt and his pals, Bruce the shark, and the seagull(s), etc.
Virtually the whole animated movie unfolded in
"real life" with most details INTACT, in front of the audience.
If you live near an arena that is presenting this show...
GO!
