Disney on Ice: Concession costs

Drinks and Dippin Dots were about $5 each, not too bad. But if your kid catches sight of the snow cones in the Stitch cup, plunk down your $12! T shirts were $20, pretty much every souvenir was the better part of $20 or change.

I was kind of surprised by the concession prices. Guess I was naive!

Uh, I'm 25, and when I catch site of the snow cones in the Stitch cup, DH better be ready with his $12. :lmao: (DH and I are going - no kids - so he's a trooper for me. He'll enjoy it, but I think he really just likes watching me act like a 5 year old; and well, Stitch is my fav!) :rotfl:

Our Civic center has a few of their windows open, but I don't think they sell all of their regular items. Gotta have my Dippin Dots ;)

I don't usually buy any of the Disney items, because we don't have children, just DH and Myself and usually the quality stinks, and our shows are usually very close to our Disney trips.

I sure hope the show this year is better than last years, because it wasn't worth the price we paid, not actually sure if we will go this year or not.

We didn't buying anything other than some popcorn as I had DS's thermos full of lemonade and some cookies in my bag.

However, I did spend $14 for a light up cup with and inedible snowcone at the circus :scared1:.

When we went to Disney on Ice, I told my son he could have a new Bionicle or Lego kit, instead of buying a toy there. He opted for the Lego after seeing the stuff there.

I don't mind paying $$$ for tickets, but the souveniers are of line.

Does anyone know how to get the cheapest tickets for this Sunday in Boston? We have had baseball and basketball all week and my husband just sent me an email to see if we could still get tickets.

by the way, I don't buy sovenirs at all. They just end up in a junk pile that they like only for the night and I just can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for junk. We usually will go in the city early and take them for lunch or dinner, depending on the time, and that is enough.

We just went to the Let's Celebrate show this past weekend and the light-up toys were $22. The shirts were around $20 I think and didn't look any different than what you could get at other stores. I bought the light up toy for my DD, I couldn't resist, but she still plays with it and I figure we can bring it to Disney in a few months. I also packed snacks in my bag that she could munch on during the show, but she was too excited toe at anything.

I bought tickets for last weekend's show at the last minute and was still able to get pretty good seats (Loge) for $25 through ticketmaster. Have fun if you go!

For Boston there was a coupon in val pak for I think $10 or $15 tickets to select shows. I have no idea what shows but maybe Sunday is included. Of course the valpak coupon came out after I bought our tickets. AAA also usually offers a discounts.

We are looking forward to Disney on Ice Princess Classics next month and I was wondering if the snowcone cups are the same at all Disney on Ice shows or do they change them to fit the show you are watching? I know that is probably a dumb question, but we have never been to Disney on Ice before and I know DD will want one that is princess themed.

The snow cone cups have been different for every show we have been to. We went to the Princess's on Ice earlier this month, and I believe most of the cups were princess themed and came with a cute princess themed reusable spoon/straw thing as well. I think there was one boyish one too. I don't totally remember, but I do know they are different each year. I believe they were $15. We bought a popcorn without any toys and it was $8, the reusable bucket was $12. Pretty much expect everything to be $20, that way it will seem like a deal if it is lower. :lmao:

oh, and I would highly suggest having your dd wear a princess costume if she is young enough. I'd say 60% of the little girls were wearing their costumes. just want to give you a heads up so you don't hear "I want to wear my princess dress" all night long!

MamaLori05, thank you so much for the heads up about the princess costume. My daughter has several of those and I know she will love to wear it. I have another question, do they have dolls and shirts? If so, how much are they? Just trying to figure out how much $$ to budget for.

MamaLori 05, just noticed your suggestion about budgeting $20 for everything. Lol!! I will do just that!

They did have dolls (barbie style) and shirts. Most of the souvineers were princess related. I think the only boy ones were light up swords. I can't totally remember, but I think the dolls were around $15 and the shirts were over $20....maybe $22? Everything seemed to be right around that $20 mark. One suggestion, I saw Kohl's had some Barbie style princess dolls for 5.99 the other day (target may even have them cheaper, not sure). You could always hide one or two of those in your purse so your dd doesn't see it, and then when you sit down pull it out and tell her you bought it for her. She'd see it as a souvineer from the show and you'd save the extra cash.
