Disney on Broadway

Does anyone know if it is better to sit in the orchestra section or the front row of the 1st mezzanine?

Both are great seats, I honestly would love orchestra seating depending on how close. If it was in the first 12 rows of orchestra center then definitely. If it was toward the back or has an obstructed view then I woud go with first row mezz

I've seen two non-Disney shows on Broadway (Spam-A-Lot and Wicked) and the theaters are kind of small. The only place that I think you would have a problem is if you are under the Mezzanine.

If you go to www.broadway.com and pick the show you want to see or are going to see, then you can see the seating chart for the theater. Of course, you will need to go about it like you were buying tickets in order to get to it.

Depends on what you're seeing.

Some shows, too close is too close (Phantom, Wicked). Some shows, close is good (Spring Awakening, RENT).

Lion King, close is probably good (orchestra). For Mary Poppins, further back is probably better.

I always try to get center 1st mezzanine, 1st or 2nd row especially if we have the girls. The first time I saw Mamma Mia I was Orchestra about 12 rows back (center) and since I'm on the short side (5'3")and there was someone sitting in front of me who was on the tall side my neck got tired from going side-to-side . Then when the whole family went I made sure we had 1st mezzanine center row A and it was wonderful. Those are the seats we've had for Lion King, Little Mermaid, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Chorus Line & WIcked but since we live about an hour from Broadway we can wait and be choosy!
