:sad2: :flower: Hi all!
returned from a Super 3 night cruise on the Disney Wonder on July 3rd.
We had a fabulous time between the shows, food and general atmosphere on the ship!!
I only have on complaint and was wondering if any one has any suggestions for me>

Well the second night as we were leaving the Bahamas they had the Olympia gold special where you could buy the gold by the inch......
I was one of the first people to be waited on and bought my neice a super cute donald duck bracelet.... I asked the CM to make it 5 inches long as I really had No idea how long it should be for a 2 year old.......
The CM told me I was making it too long but I insisted on that length as i though by eyeballing it it looked pretty good.....

I then left an told them I would be back later as people were waiting and I did'nt want to seem rude.....

Around 11:00 that night I returned with the intention of making 2 more bracelets for my other two neices.......

They were very busy as there was a passanger that was continuing to order bracelets and anklets etc........

Around 11:45 they told the customer that they would finish her things later and wrote down the rest of her order........(about 25 things)

anyway , I just wanted 2 more bracelets for my neices and the Cm insisted that I make them 4 inches as 5 and 6 were way to big for a 5 month old and a 2 year old, she told me here wrist was only 6 inches and me not being a jewelry person i just did not know so went with what she said.......

Got home and Both bracelets are way to short and do not fit the girls....
Called Disney and was told there was pretty much nothing they could do as things that are sold on the ship are not available other places....

Am I wrong in assuming they should have someone who knows what they are doing running that jewelry counter???

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do ?

I'm out of some money my sisters are disaapointed and Disney says OH well!!!

What happened to that Disney Magic? :sad2:

Any help would be appreciated :confused3

Olympia Gold, the chains that are sold on the ships, has a place in Florida. Look at your receipt, there should have been a guarantee stapled to it, on gold colored paper, I think. You can e-mail them for instructions, explain what happened.

I bought a bracelet on the ship.... well, my DH bought it for me, anyway, the clasp broke on the last night, and I went back to Treasure Ketch and had it repaired. Two weeks after getting home, the clasp broke again. I looked through the paperwork, found the guarantee, and e-mailed them. I sent my bracelet to them by certified mail, and they repaired it and sent it back by certified mail, and I haven't had a problem since.

I can't promise they'll be able to help if your chain is too short, but it can't hurt to try. :confused3

We are leaving in 15 days and I was planning on getting a braclet for my DD. My question is how much roughly does an inch cost? I like to be aware before I get on board. If anyone can answer this question it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,
Courtney

Just remember that this is gold plated! Very nice for the price. The mall here where I lives sells this. :earsboy:

Olympia Gold does NOT sell solid gold of any kind. Olympia Gold uses a unique process to manufacture our beautiful fashion jewelry where quality is our first priority. All our gold and silver thickness is guaranteed by X-Ray Fluorescence testing

We bond an average thickness of .5 microns of 22kt gold to an inner base of high quality, polished diamond cut jewelers metal and then bond another layer of 14kt gold over the 22kt gold so the jewelry has the 14kt color. We then seal our jewelry with our exclusive Permagold anti tarnish coating. Olympia Gold offers an unconditional lifetime guarantee for your customers with our gold layered jewelry.
