I am subscribing. Just finished reading your first trip report and thoroughly enjoyed it. Love your flair for telling the story. You've inspired me to attempt to tackle the task as well. Have a wonderful trip; can't wait to read all about it.

Hey all...sorry I've been MIA the last couple of days...too much going on all at once!!!

Thank you EVERYBODY for your good wishes!!! Y'all crack me up!

I think I'm done packing. AlthoughI am going to run out and get some REAL rain coats for all of us. If the weather is going to be really nasty all day, not just part of the day, the ponchos aren't going to cut it. They'll just flap around blowing rain all over us...which then begs the question...What's the POINT?

I don't mind if it rains at Disney. We're at Disney. It's FUN rain. But as everyone knows, I do NOT like to be wet...or soppy or drippy. So real rain coats it is!

although I am going to believe that it is NOT going to be nasty weather for the whole of our trip. It's against the rules. It rained last year on Animal Kingdom day...we missed A LOT of the animal kingdom...NOT this year darn it!

Flights are currently heading out of New Jersey to MCO on time with no problems. MCO is not expecting any cancellations or delays...according to their website. Thursday should be good anyhow.

see how I'm trying to convince myself that all will be well?

I just hope that this "rain event" as it seems to have been deemed...passes quickly and doesn't cause too much strife for Florida residents....or Disney travelers!!

MissCammie, I am so excited for your trip--- mostly because it means another TR!!! I hope you guys have a wonderful time, and no worries about the weather- it will eb a-ok by the time that you get there, I just feel it! And typically the days after a hurricane are awesome weatherl so yay!

Anyway, I thought about Sally yesterday when I was at Busch Gardens yesterday. We were on the bumper cars, and I was getting soooo mad at people! So many people were just aimlessly driving, and clearly NOT following all the ONE WAY signs posted. I remember thinking "Gosh, why can't people follow the rules once in a while." I thought Sally would have been proud. I DID follow the rules, by the way

Rule breakers are EVERYWHERE...she would have been just as annoyed about the bumper car drivers!

MissCammie tell jay dvc is sooo much more than disney
and the rains will stop because the campbellscotts are at dinsey and its against the rules to rain at disney

I'll let Jay know that I am not the only one who thinks that DVC is so much more than just a timeshare...it's MAGIC!!!

currently the RULES are being broken at Disney! Hopefully all will be orderly by the time we arrive!

I've been watching the Weather Channel and it looks like Tropical Storm Fay will hit Orlando around Tuesday and on through. Hopefully thats the track that it will stay on and you will have a Tropical Storm free trip.

Still sending your way for a safe, black eye free, bloody nose, perfume ninja, and migraine free trip.

Don't let Jay forget that he's only allotted 1 phone call per day.

Thanks sweetpea!!! I appreciate the pep talk! I will NOT be injured or annoyed on this trip...well hopefully not injured...

We just put down the deposit for next April/May. We are going to do the trip of a lifetime next year. We will do a week at the Polynesian and then a 4 day Disney cruise, then back to WDW for another week at The Contemporary. It is just my hubby and I, we have no kids, but we are big kids, so we take most all of our trips to Disney! It will be a first cruise for me!

Never have been on a cruise before, just a dependents cruise on an aircraft carrier way back when I was 20 or so. They take you out about 50 miles out to sea and do an airshow and let you explore the carrier...interesting. I know I have to order the Scop patches for nausea already. I get motion sickness so bad, I did on the aircraft carrier those many yrs a go...lessee that was 1973, whoa..a LONG time ago.

We WILL be getting to Disneyland before that, most likely end of Sept and again in January for my birtday. I don't know if we will do Christams at DL as usual. We need to save lots of $$$ for the big trip to WDW/cruise next year!

I am so looking forward to your installments. They always are fun to read. You are a great writer and a fun person! I am so glad I found your first TR. That was a joy to read!

I live vicariously through you guys! We are working on getting to WDW in February, it's a little trickier, as we live in Italy & I don't have return dates for when my hubby is due back from Iraq. If I can't plan every single detail of our disney trips, well then I almost don't want to go So I look forward to reading every detail when you are back!

so, so excited.. love your reports, we leave soon after you, although not as early as you, we did that in Dec.( 6:00 flight, limo picked us up at 2:45, hubby said "you have got to be kidding" when we told him the time and we had 11 bodies going, 3 under the age of 6 (3,5,6) but he survived, just asked to go at a "decent time" this time so plane takes off at 10:10. I thought that was decent enough anyway going to wish this next week to go fast, but after that time can go very very slow safe trip to the 4 of you, we have only 5 going this time and we will be celebrating the grandsons 7th birthday all week, his birthday is the 29th. I sent him a post card from Mickey telling him he cant wait for him to get down there and they would celebrate his birthday at Chef Mickeys. He was excited and wondered how Mickey knew it was his birthday. I told him Mickey knows everything

Don't worry!

We've been down there during a hurricane. Can't remember what year, but DS was a baby then. We were confined to our rooms for about half the day, and then the parks were kept open later that evening to compensate. Truthfully, it wasn't so bad. They ran lots of Disney movies on a special channel, and my mom went to the food court and got us rations to wait it out.

Hopefully, you won't even have to deal with that! An you never know, it may not be so bad. That's the thing with the weather. It could change so easily! So I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Plus, Miss Cammie is always prepared.

Hope you have a great trip! We are in the middle of sorting all of our travel documents and me trying to figure out what clothes to bring. DH said that he only wants to bring ONE large suitcase for a two-week trip to Europe...on a cruise...with formal nights...So who is going to bring the rest of the stuff that we bought in preparation for this trip? *ahem* ME.

I am planning on staying up on Friday night so I can sleep on the plane. So we will see what things that we are sharing on this trip make it into his bag while he sleeps so soundly.

I can't wait for your TR. Hope you have it started by the time we get back from our honeymoon!

I love a little south of Cape Canaveral where we are getting the worst of the weather right now. It is not horrible. And it is even better over at Disney. It looks like they are just getting the edge of the storm. It should be gone by Thursday.

Have a wonderful trip!!! You really should be writing novels instead of trip reports, you have a great talent for it. We will be staying at AK next year and I can't wait to hear all the details as you are sooo good at doing.

Don't worry about the kids growing up too fast the magic of of Disney will always be with them. My oldest sons are 21, 18 and 15 oh and 9 and they feel like kids when they go there and my oldest has even gone there for his Spring Breaks when at college (yeah no Daytona for him.) My 18 year old chose Disney as his internship over Vegas and ITALY for his culinary arts degree.
It makes me proud that I did my job as the Disney fanatic that I am.
