Yeah, that is what I am thinking - next episode he stops at Navarro to pick them up so the "full team" can go to where Ahsoka is and yeah, makes sense she would first appear in the episode Filoni directs

Also noticed that Bo never specifically says she knows where a Jedi is, she says "where one of their kind" is - so makes sense it is Ahsoka ... also, by specifically saying "one" I assume it's just here and either Ezra is somewhere else or she hasn't found him yet (though if she hasn't found him then I would think Sabine would still be with her, and then odd for Bo not to mention her) or I guess maybe they found out he didn't survive
Faloni is, also, directing chapter 15. I think we might have to wait until then.

And Carl Weathers is directing this weeks, so Grief and Cara will almost certainly be back. I think we might get a tease at the end of the episode of Ahsoka then see her in Chapter 13, 15, and 16. I could see Bo-Katan returning in the last 2 episodes as well.

That's what I'm thinking as well. The major new characters will pop up at one point then all come together for the final 2 episodes similar to season 1 where we met Greef, Cara, and IG-11 over the first few episodes then they all showed up together in the last 2.

The episode lengths are about as long as they were last season. The budgets are very high for these episodes. In total for an entire season they’re looking at a blockbuster film type budget. If these episodes were an hour, they’re probably looking at 20-25M an episode rather than 12-15M.

But this does scare me for Wandavision because they did sell Mandalorian as an “8 hour movie” when it’s just under 5.5 hours and then they said Wandavision would be a “6 hour movie” with 6 episodes.

With the way its trending, Episode 4 will be the length of a Pixar short

I haven't felt that the episode length is a hinderance. Stories should be as long as they need to be - sometimes that means short, sometimes longer. I feel the pacing has been good and they haven't left anything out. Usually I feel that modern movies could all stand to trim down a little. I know us Star Wars fans want to absorb as much as they will give us, but that doesn't always service the narrative well.

There hasn’t been an episode yet where I feel like the story of the episode needed more time. Chapter 11 felt like an hour long episode even with a 33 minute runtime. Chapter 10 felt like a 3 hour snooze fest

We really don’t want to see a longer mandalorian. They only have so much money to work with. It’s a lot but to keep the action going. Do we really want to see them standing around talking just to make the episode longer? Most people will probably say no.

Star Wars is not hurting for money. I don't mind shorter episodes if they are good.

I really liked this week's chapter, but it appeared to me that there was a scene or scenes that were cut that could have really helped with the flow of the story. The transition between the sail barge blowing up (daytime) straight to the confrontation on the docks (dark night) just felt strange. Watching it I felt like the audience missed out on something.

Regardless of the theater situation, I don’t see these studios backing down on the possibility of making money at the theaters. Their movies are a huge profit gainer for them, so they’re going to keep spending money on them. And whatever they’ve spent on Mandalorian has probably been made up tenfold in The Child merchandise sales. I don’t think budget restraints will impact S3 or the other D+ shows. I think they’re confident that eventually they’ll be getting box office profits on top of subscriber money on D+. If Disney was worried about money, they’d be cutting back on shows, not adding them. I mean, does the MCU really NEED MoonKnight? Probably not. So if they’re continuing on with shows like that, you know they’re not hurting as much as they let on

yep that part really didn’t make sense when that squid guy or whatever they are called said you killed my brother. Well how did he know his brother was killed?

If every Mandalorian episode is 35 minutes, and 7 out of 8 of them are incredible, I have no issue with runtime. Think of it as they want you to, it’s a 5.5 hour movie. If you were to watch the seasons straight through as a 5.5 hour movie, it’s a fantastic 5.5 hour movie, even with “filler” episodes. They have struck gold with a project that much of their subscriber base had no idea what to expect of 53 weeks ago.

Now, I want a 5.5 hour cut of them together.

The thing about Rebels that intrigues me the most is the inclusion of Thrawn. But I still haven’t started the series. I absolutely love the old EU novels (currently rereading the entire series during COVID, on the Darth Caedus series now). And Thrawn has always been one of my favorites. I just hope Rebels does him justice.
