Am I the only one who doesn't want to watch the trailer? I always feel like they will spoil things. Traliers for Rebels were notorious for spoiling, so much so that Dave Filoni would advise not to wathc them, ha ha! I know I will hear about stuff, but I try to ignore it as much as possible. It's not like I need to decide if I want to watch it or not - I'M THERE!
I actually love spoilers. It’s so hard nowadays to avoid them, I enjoy embracing them. Even when I try to avoid them I wind up hearing about most movies or shows before I get to watch them, so I‘ve grown to embrace them

Personally, I’m not sure what the point of this is with them having Hulu. They seem to be doing very well on a subscriber level, and this move, at the surface looks like a desperation move for new subscribers for the platform. Unless they feel too many people are Hulu Only subscribers and want to pull some of those over to Disney+ with the Hulu/D+/ESPN+ bundle?

Bill Hunt is a very, very reliable source when it comes to at home content. Usually gets all of the inside sources on upcoming physical media

Oh that would be amazing. I have no interest in adding Hulu, so we miss out on quite a bit of the Fox catalog.

The 4K part is what intrigues me. DIsney has been on top of the quality game from the start of their service and yet HBOMax and Peacock seem to think that people like to watch DVD quality programming

The thing is though is that Hulu was always a different animal, mainly focused on TV shows as a "one-stop" shop for most of the major networks. Now, since the buyout, that could be changing, but maybe Disney still wants to keep it TV focused. It's hard to say. This move though does further marginalize Hulu - maybe eventually they will just be one thing? I don't know, but I'd love a place to be able to watch the great Fox back catalog, so whatever form that takes I am all for it.

Absolutely. D+ has been on-point with their presentation (with the exception of a few 4:3 tv shows presented in cropped 16:9 - they fixed The Simpsons though). There are lots of 4K streams, HD for almost everything else excepting maybe older TV shows. They even have correct aspect ratios for the older films that are slightly irregular, like Snow White (they were windowboxing it, but they changed that I think - still good either way as it presents it correctly). What I really want though is 4K Avatar, but apparently James Cameron has to make the master and, well, I won't hold my breath. I think they might drop it before the sequels come out - though again, IF that ever happens, ha ha!

I'm with you.

I've become a spoiler junky. DW hates it, lol.

I think having more adult content on Disney+ is a winner for Disney. Hula is not international, but Disney+ is. Right now there are some Marvel TV shows which can't be on Disney+ such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist etc. If Disney put an adult section on Disney+ they can add these shows.

Disney is thinking internationally, not USA domestic for the expansion of Disney+ To do this they need to expand the range. Hamilton showed that Disney+ is not just for kids, and they gained huge numbers of new subscribers.

You need to think beyond USA domestic and see the bigger picture.

Isn't this exactly what Star is for?

Isn't this exactly what Star is for?

Star is not going to every international territory. Star will be launch in Indonesia on September 5 and in Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden and Denmark on September 15.

Disney+ is currently in Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, India, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, France and Japan.

By putting adult content on Disney+ it means they can expand the subscribers where Disney+ is established.

Thanks for the clarification.

It will be interesting to see what they do. If added to D + do they up the price or offer it as an upgrade?

Anyone have the D23 promo and then switched to the Hulu/ESPN/Disney bundle? What happens with pricing?

I cancelled Youtube TV since they jacked up the rate. Decide to go with Hulu for the on-demand network shows and ESPN+ for college football. I was going to click on the full bundle but don't want to mess up anything.

Weill, just back from Animal kingdom and enjoying a walk through Gorilla Falls trail and decided to watch The one and only Ivan... 😭😭
