Very interesting and reliable rumor from the tikiman. The new Polynesian bungalows will have plunge pools. A plunge pool is a small hot tub sized pool on the deck of the bungalow that will allow for a nice relaxation in the water not for swimming laps or anything. Each bungalow is said to have one and the bungalows will cost around or over $1000 per night to stay in. They will not just be for DVC outsiders will be able to stay in them in they are available.

Unless some of the bungalows are specifically built for cash guests, I can't see them being available past the 11 month booking window.

I agree there is only 20 of them and they are some of the most deluxe rooms on property. Unless I win the lottery I will never stay in one.

Update on closing dates for multiple things at the Polynesian.

Nanea Volcano Pool area, Barefoot Pool Bar, and Trader Jack's Gift Shop.

The Nanea Volcano Pool and area, including Barefoot Pool Bar will be closing on July 26 2014 through to March 31 2015.

Trader Jacks Gift Shop in the Grand Ceremonial House will close on June 16 2014 through to December 31 2014.

During the Nanea Pool refurbishment, the deck area will be significantly expanded to accommodate more guests, and a 12 person hot-tub will be installed. The resort will be offering a complimentary day at Blizzard Beach for guests affected by the closure of the main pool. The resort's quiet pool will continue to be available as normal.

These dates are subject to change.

Now transportation info for the 24 hour party!

From Walt Disney World Resort hotels, bus transportation is set to begin at 5:15am on Friday May 23 2014, continuing through the entire 24 hour event.

If you are arriving by car, the Transportation and Ticket Center parking lot will be opening at 4:30am on May 23 2014. The ferry boat and monorail service from the TTC to the Magic Kingdom will begin at 5:15am.

The Resort monorail will be operating from 5:15am on May 23 to 3:30am on May 24, then from 5:30am on May 24 to 1am on May 25.

The Express monorail will be operating from 5:15am on May 23 to 7am on May 24.

The Epcot monorail will be operating from 8am on May 23 to 1am on May 24, then from 3:30am on May 24 to 11pm on May 24.

I have some interesting rumors tonight.

1. Frozen overlay at maelstrom
Personally I think it's better to keep disney characters out of Epcot all together. I also think with frozen a success it should get its own ride.

2. Hong Kong Disneyland may be looking at a phase two or a second gate
With the money continuing to be poured into this country I wouldn't be surprised

3. DCL to expand
Disney cruise line hasn't expanded since 2012 and has four ships. That is quite small for such a successful cruise line. Question would be would these ships be larger or in between the two classes already. Maybe if they lowered their prices I could afford to go on one.

4. Club 33 in MK
Don't know what to think about this one. DLR is getting a big club 33 overhaul right now. This would mean a whole new waiting list and what would be different about this one. I'm not exactly sure on this rumor but I put it in.

5. New firework show in MK (Goodbye wishes)
Wishes is a great show I love it always have. With that being said wishes has been in MK for over 10 years and based on other disney nighttime shows that probably could do better. Maybe we will see the new show for the 50th anniversary of WDW?

Those cruiselines are in a precarious position... As they are subject to all economic whim and could be crippled by changing preferences/patterns in a moments notice.


Also...on a more grotesque note...I work In a field that deals heavily with contaminants and epidemiology...
And I can tell you to a fair certainty that the bio outbreaks on cruiseship epidemic will not wane...it will intensify...
Dcl will have its day(s) too...don't doubt it.

1. I really REALLY don't want to see more Disney influence in Epcot much less World Showcase so this is kind of a bummer. At the same time it would bring BIG business to Epcot and would help out the ride. (You would never be able to ride it though)

2. This is bound to happen very soon. With Iron Man being built, new rides for Fantasyland being planned, and a third resort being built, they would have to do it at some point. Its just nice to see the resort doing good.

3. I love the idea. You know the more cruises they have means more destinations.....does it mean lower prices though I wonder? Anyway I imagined two more once. The Disney Enchantment and the Disney Adventure.

4. NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! It simply just DOES NOT need to happen. I am tolerating the expansion because yea its popular so lets expand on the popularity, but DONT put one in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Besides where do they want it?

5. I have heard this a lot now so I am starting to believe it. Steve Davidson is suppose to be running the development crew, and I heard 2016 or late 2015 for the debut. Either way it will be nice to see something new and innovative that can surpass Wishes.
