True but it was a myth that was obviously not true to the disney fan.

Here is an article from Micechat that gives a photo update at things happening around the resort. He visits Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. http://micechat.com/62166-walt-disney-world-news/ A few things to point out is you can obviously tell they are trying out a few different colors for the new paint job at Epcot. Personally I like the darker blue. Second thing is more FP+ Kiosk have been placed at Hollywood Studios.

Forget Eisner and Disney-- The structural engineers who designed the buildings and the county building officials would not have allowed it. You can't move a light switch without alarms going off, let alone huge roof top structures.

Just a small update that happened a few days ago. Chevrolet added a new concept car to Test Track. The Tru concept vehicle replaced one of the other concept cars from Chevrolet.

Frozen became the highest grossing animated film of all time today and is in the top 10 of all movies all time. This was a massive unexpected hot for Disney and it looks to continue to grow.

Polynesian news!
According to the tikiman and his inside sources the arcade will close march 31st and will not return at this point. This may something to look at in the future if more resorts get rid of arcades.

Just a little side note. Am I the only person who has noticed that there is grass and fern type things on the building with the fish on them, but the building with the swans look more like the ocean? Its kind of funny actually but I wanted to point it out.

Yeah, people have even made up an "urban myth" that they put the swan and dolphin statues on the wrong buildings - which is false.

I learned a lot about that resort from WDWRadio - he had a whole episode about the backstory. It's worth a listen

Yea I remember reading that myth on Micechat I think. I never understood how anybody could believe that though. I mean you don't place something on the wrong building then leave it there. Disney wouldn't have even allowed that lol!

Don't know where to post this so here is some news from Hong Kong Disneyland. So big news actually. I cant find the website but apparently the Chinese government that is over Disneyland Hong Kong has asked for Disney to start creating ideas and plans for a second gate. Obviously if they are just now planning then expect it to be a while before any news comes out, but it looks like some major expansions are coming to Hong Kong on the heels of its most recent expansions.

Tim Burton is directing a new film for Disney called Poppins starring Johnny Depp
It's scheduled to come out in November 2016.

I actually saw this a bit ago. I hope to god it doesn't turn out like the Disney studios did in DLRP because Disney is still trying to make that park profitable. Hopefully the Chinese are not as pushy and give Disney time and not a quick deadline. I know they are adding a third hotel and those plans were just announced not to long ago.

Yea no more studios parks. I like the idea of the new resort though. My plan is to go stay when it opens.

My friend who is leaving tomorrow told me that when she called to book it (they try everything at least once) that she found out that it was a STANDING only party - NO SEATING!!!!! She said she asked twice to make sure that she was understanding clearly and they assured her that Illuminations party is a STANDING ONLY affair. (not April fools joke).
Why would I want to pay that much for that long and STAND just everyone else????
