Four new restaurants to open at The Walt Disney World Reserve including the signature restaurant Amare



Some of Amare’s menu highlights include:

• Breakfast: Breakfast buffet, breakfast bowls and a la carte items including Eggs Au Cheval (two farm fresh eggs, seared medallions of angus beef tenderloin, sauce bearnaise and house breakfast potatoes)
  
  
• Lunch: Salads, flatbreads and entrees including grilled line-caught mahi-mahi with lemon, Tuscan kale and Spanish caper emulsion
  
  
• Dinner: Appetizers including hearth-fired Tiger Prawns and charred octopus, and entrees including sea bass al cartoccio, and handmade manti dumpling filled with bahrat spiced lamb, cauliflower, roasted eggplant, tomato, yogurt sauce
  
  
• Dessert: Pistachio caragli (rolled baklava), Greek yogurt cheesecake and Meyer lemon panna cotta

I think - and I could be wrong because my horse knowledge is better than my french, so I consulted Dr. Google, that it means 'On a Horse' and it's a french method of serving eggs.

This alarmed me, so I googled. Found this:


“What does 'au cheval' mean?” asked one of my guests. “Does it mean the patty's made of horse meat?” “It means 'on a horse,'” I replied, “and designates the French practice of putting a runny fried egg on top of a sandwich, steak, or just about anything.”

Wow Sadly there is just not that much food there this year, shocked they couldn't get more participation, this has consistently been one of our favorite events, going to have to pass with the lack of food vendors this year compared to years past. Looks like the iOS version of the MDE app updated overnight with v7.0 released. I didn't update yet, but the folks using G+ will need to update which is now showing 400+ MB. Don't know how large the app is after installing, but that is almost double the 200MB I see on my current version of MDE ... if the app did double with the Genie updates hopefully it's doesn't become an even more unruly beast of an app with power and CPU usage

So Scott Gustin is going to DHS today. At 7am he got a SDD lightning lane pass for 1:40pm. He can book his next lightning lane at 11am.
