They also extended the rest of the month until 10 pm- it had been 9.

Epcot hours were extended back in April for July 4-10th.

I’m so happy and bummed at the same time! SO glad fireworks are coming back. BUT sad we will miss them- literally by hours- as we fly back home the night of July 1. And unfortunately unable to add a day to our trip . Guess I’ll just have to make plans for another!

Yeah bittersweet. Hope there’s so much exciting stuff happening and opening that you won’t notice the absence too much. That’s what I’m hoping for our trip 2 weeks before the 50th. They ended up holding a lot stuff back for the Oct 1 date but with enough fantastic stuff otherwise we shouldn’t be too bummed.
And if you’re lucky might catch some testing and other great stuff reopening the week you visit.

Yeah, I imagine the kites might run afoul of the giant ring in the lagoon and get sucked into another dimension or somthing!

OMG!!!! Now that you mention it, (and forgive me if I’m slow on this one!), but the middle ring centerpiece of Harmonious looks just like the portal in Big Hero 6!!!!!!!!!!! @BrianL I think you’re onto something!!!!!!!

That does make me wonder…
There were plans to run Epcot Forever while the barges were being set for HarmoniUS. Maybe there’s an Epcot Forever v2 show that included the barges somehow? We’ll find out soon!

I sure hope so!!! We go in August and I’d even prefer fastpasses over fireworks.
