- The buses are designed on the exterior to look like old-fashioned locomotives or passenger cars
- Staff will be dressed as 1920’s rail conductors and engineers
- The buses will have entertainment throughout the trip
- Ticket pre-sales begin on December 20, and service will begin on February 1, 2022
Grumble grumble. This sounds awesome (arrive a little too early and I'm wary of banking on it for a return trip to MCO). But it does sound fun for my kiddos...New Shuttle Service from MCO to Disney called The Sunshine Flyer Starting in 2022

It's a 3rd party company and you book through their website.it tells you the pre sales starts today but doesn’t tell you how you can purchase it
It is weird that so many places picked up their PR but several didn't include this. https://sunshineflyer.com/it tells you the pre sales starts today but doesn’t tell you how you can purchase it

Disney washed their hands of transport from MCO to Disney Worldthanks
so is this the new transport that Disney recommends or is Disney going to come out with something
I thought Disney would have had something and then you just add it to package
I have no insider knowledge at all. None.thanks

Disney washed their hands of transport from MCO to Disney World. This is another replacement service to Disney Express that has nothing to do with Disney. The only way Disney will advertise this service would be if they made money from promoting it
I'd expect the return of Minnie Vans transporting people from MCO before Disney goes back to this
I have no insider knowledge at all. None.
That said, I can't imagine Disney would come out with anything at this point. It's way too late, too many capital costs that wouldn't really make sense for them, etc. They may end up recommending someone but it seems like they're so far happy to sit out this group vs. Mears Connect (which has had a jump start on getting the word out but their materials have been considerably less put together, to me, than this). Mears Connect will start in January, whereas Sunshine Flyer starts a month later (it also sounds like this has been something that has semi-existed but not in this format? But that's just me trying to read up on their history, etc).
I can't express this enough to folks - Encanto is just amazing. My kids are not Disney music-loving kids (or even really big fans of Disney movies, if I'm being totally honest). They will not stop listening to the soundtrack (even before seeing it) and once they saw it on Friday (in 3D, which was beautiful - I've seen it in a regular theater and then in 3D), they really can't stop. My oldest (8 - almost 9) high-fived me during the movie (the 5 year old got as bored as a 5 year old gets during a movie but generally enjoyed it as much as the candy). Two boys who are asking for Mirabel books, toys, and clothes (and Antonio and Bruno). I'll admit - I haven't bought a movie in ages (w/ Netflix, D+, etc - it doesn't occur to me and we're not big movie people). I'll plan to buy this the moment it's available.
Friend, for that I would direct you to this re: Florida statute (the last line seems to be what you're asking about) and simply say that I understand families make decisions about their transportation; and, I'd encourage you to do whatever you could to make sure you're safely making it to a great vacation. http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes...ute&URL=0300-0399/0316/Sections/0316.613.htmlah well looks like I’ll book this. Less hassle than trying to get car seats in taxis
I guess a one year old doesn’t need a car seat on this as it’s a shuttle?

I felt really happy to see that they had an easy system for carseats and hope that proves helpful to a lot of families who are looking for that. I personally plan to take boosters for my 5 and 8 year olds.
I wouldn't be shocked if they partner with someone as a preferred vendor. Maybe even allow booking from their website. But it would be all third party service.I have no insider knowledge at all. None.

I think that makes sense. Pre-DME, I had only ever driven - so, I didn't know how actively they pumped up Mears back when that was a primary mode. I did see (in case folks haven't dug too deeply) that Sunshine Flyer said they hoped to introduce baggage assistance this summer. I guess it's my hope (without knowing all of the details) that a little competition might benefit us (guests) - I was nervous with Mears's language about "introductory pricing" and a lack of details. I recognize substance counts more than style - but they were leaving me a little bit wanting on the style (in part because I got the sense they felt like they had a relatively captive audience).I wouldn't be shocked if they partner with someone as a preferred vendor. Maybe even allow booking from their website. But it would be all third party service.
