we aren’t going until May 2020, for 16 nights

how long u going and where u staying😀

I guess I can’t do a thing anyway until the borders open 😂
Are you going back in time? We wish we all could 🤣 I’m taking it you mean May ‘22. Goodluck with the border! That’d be great news for us all.

It’s a safe bet whatever system comes for FP should roll out well before your trip. Don’t sweat it too much yet, I’d think by Oct you’ll have a good idea what to expect (barring anything unforeseen).

ps- we’re going Sept 12-18 BWV just DH & I. Would love 16 days 😍

Tomorrow marks the opening of Disney's first Marvel-themed hotel - Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel at Disneyland Paris, I know it'll be a while before I can get there but it is so nice that something announced at the 2017 D23 Expo is actually opening (There was lots announced at that expo but only MMRR, Avengers Campus and this is actually open now, with Rat, Tron & Guardians still not open 4 years later :) )
To continue on this. Today ED92 went up the Panoramagique hot air balloon in Disney Village and reports that there was someone abseiling from the Marvel Hotel. Can we expect to see Spiderman tomorrow doing some stunts?

Articles from last month indicate the Laugh Floor is no longer used as overflow for Buzz Lightyear's queue.

However, I'm surprised things have been silent since then. The Laugh Floor attraction was previously removed from MK's paper map, and I don't believe it has returned yet. If anyone who has visited recently or will be visiting soon can keep an eye for its return to the in-park guides, that might give a better indication.
I'll be down that way later and will check but it's not on today's map :(

Other observations...
Can line up by car at tollbooths early, we arrived 6:35 for 8 am open. Still totally, totally worth going early (we go against the crowd to Frontierland). Splash and Pooh didn't open early or on time today far as I can tell, but we've done a lot today before 11

We took ferry this am and it left way before filling it.

In general people in the am still generally space themselves at MK. Stretching room was great!! Full but definetly room to breathe (and no stampede haha)

Tron progress

haha yeah 2022

well we have two 13 month year old girls when we go so don’t want to rush. We are doing 14 nights CBR and 2 nights to finish at the polly, surly everything will be back to normal by then

well we are no some sort of fast pass system will come but I just hope there is at least a couple “free” a day. My worry is they give you no fast passes what so ever unless u pay like $200/300 dollars a day which isn't going to be affordable for us and then we have big waits with young children

Off topic but was just thinking about how Disney’s website crashes within minutes anytime they open for event tickets or drop a new resort discount but then look at Amazon’s Prime Day which is way more an event that attracts the masses and I don’t remember them crashing....just saying...
Definitely agreeing that Disney can do better, but AWS hosts nearly 40% of all global internet traffic. It would be quite the event to make Amazon’s sites crash.

It’s like saying a lion can take down a zebra, why can’t my house cat?
I work in enterprise software and I think about this way too much. I'm pretty sympathetic to Disney's IT woes. While they certainly could do better, I imagine they have dozens of legacy systems, dating back decades that they are trying to cobble together and have talk to each other.
They probably would benefit greatly from going to a cloud native solution built in AWS or the like but the cost would be enormous. Would be a fun project though.
Ok. Geek hat off... back to my Mickey ears.

Are you following any particular thread about the rumors/what to expect on Oct 1st for the 50th celebration? Thanks

We all know what really happened..
