Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

So am I reading this right, you can book this new LL till 2 days before the park reservation but Multi pass is 7 days before. So what if you don’t get in on the limited number of LL, you missed the multi pass window. Or am I reading this wrong (obviously I’ll going through the is it worth it for us for a short trip thought process)

I'm looking at multiple blogs that say 7 days before. Where are you seeing 2?

Yes. You get 27 rides you can just walk on at Magic Kingdom. 25 that use fast pass, a 2 ILLs.

There is no chance you can ride all these in 1 day without lightning lanes. With this, you can. You'd have to spend another $100+ for a ticket to go 2 days to be able to ride more. And another night of a hotel room ($500+). And another vacation day used.

The cost is far less if this is a one-time vacation, you want to ride everything, and you take into account the extra day.
Do you still have to schedule the times or do you just return at whatever time you want?

Having used express pass at Universal I think the pass itself is a great idea, HOWEVER... I would prefer them implement it in a way that incentivizes staying at Deluxe more. IF this service is exclusive to Deluxe in the long run that may clarify things, but if it isn't I think the option should be discounted at minimum for Deluxe guest.

I think I will avoid it for now, as this is probably something that would make future trips feel worse without the service. Walking on every ride at Universal was so nice.

Too many deluxe resorts at WDW to do this.

Do you still have to schedule the times or do you just return at whatever time you want?

Anytime

2 days is at DL, 7 days is at WDW, I believe

I'll bet that's Sohni & her cub. The keepers were trying to mate her with a male tiger around the time of our trip last April. They were noisy, which caused me to ask. To hear them tell it, tiger romance is more complicated than humans.

Yes, the tweet says that Sohni is the mother. Yeah, you probably want to stay well clear of Tigers who are in the mood! 🀣

Is this still just a rumor?
No but to be fair it’s a premium add on for Deluxe guest's and will sell out (a cap wasn’t given)
Moderate, Value and non resort guests still have single and multi pass at a slightly more reasonable price

Honestly I’m not the clientele for this

AP only stays at moderate or value 2 times a year during RunDisney weekends had only used Genie+ twice in MK and during my Land trip (along with individual Lightning lane for radiator springs racers)

Plan to do multi pass for Magic during wine and dine (my splurge with a single pass to ride GoTG twice on our Epcot day)

NEW: Lightning Lane Premier Pass is coming to Disneyland Resort on Oct. 23 and Walt Disney World on Oct. 30. LLPP includes one entry to each Lightning Lane entrance at any time during the day.

WDW (one park) ranges $129-$429+tax pp. DLR (both parks) ranges $300-$400 pp.

Yes, in addition to your regular admission
What a deal! :duck: :lmao: :cool1:
Dinosaur is set to close next year. Just buy the single pass for Flight of Passage and rope drop.
My friends that are in a position to buy this (for their entire stay) are not morning people.

The prices are a bit shocking, but I agree, there is a market and I suspect this will do well with that crowd.

Yes, there were rumors this summer in August and September. People were preparing for costs similar to Universal's skip-the-line service, but Disney likes to standalone, I guess! Yikes on those prices and lack of park hopping. It seems to really be offering an alternative to the VIP tour crowd or those who have considered tours in the past. Here's a previous article:

RUMOR: Walt Disney World to Debut Universal Express-Style Skip-the-Line Offering

ETA: For comparison, Universal's service is about $90-$290 per person, per park, but it is included with certain hotels. Disney's new service for WDW is $130-$450 per person, per park, and only available to purchase for those staying in certain hotels.
To me this just solidifies that while Chapek gets bulk of the blame for a lot of the nickel and diming over last few years it’s clear Damaro/Iger are/were just as much at fault as Chapek. It seems like every other week they are adding a new way to milk guests for more money and we’re well past where Chapek can be blamed.

I think the reality is that the DPR is basically keeping the company afloat, so they are using the buckets of money from that division to bail out the rest of the failing company. I'm sure every department head was told to find a way to reach into the pocket of a customer and pull out a fiver.
