Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2023 Edition

Can anywhere there now tell me what time the pools close now? Thanks!
Which resort? High Rock Spring Pool at Saratoga Springs had posted hours of 10 am-11 pm as of yesterday. Unsure if other resort pools have similar or differing hours.

Thank you! I was looking for Boulder ridge,
but I’m pretty sure they usually all have the same hours.

There are many rando click bait Disney vloggers, I dont include Brayden in that list. He is content driven.
I agree Brayden isn't click bait. He has a point of view and it's not about generating viewers, I think it's definitely genuine. But like @Pens Fan, I'm not a fan, I think he needs to get a grip 🤣
I used to watch his videos as soon as they came out, but over time he got too negative, everything is "horrible" or "destroyed" and that turns me off.

In the end I decided if I watch Youtubers it's because I like to celebrate the fandom, not to help generate outrage. The world is full of actual horrible things to be mad about... WDW is a theme park complex, it's not hallowed ground lol 🙄🤣

Speaking of Youtubers, you know who is really great? Cliffx

Now this is not someone you go for news or anything, but he's a super nice guy who loves the nighttime spectaculars. That's all he ever does, videos of the nighttime spectaculars, but he does it better than anybody else by miles. Instead of just filming from the one spot, he films for several nights and from different locations to get a great video, they are so well produced! Better even than when Disney does it. And the audio is great, too. I think half of the views on Happily Ever After might be me, lol

And what's best, even with shows that weren't well received, he goes out of his way to thank all the creatives who poured so much into making the show. He did so for HarmonioUS even though Illimunations was his favorite show ever.

For me it's the cadence of how he talks on his videos. It bugs me, so I don't watch.
Also, I don't like when a YTer talk for the sake of talking and I tend to watch those at x1.5 (or higher) speed. I'm thinking of Kyle Pallo for that one.

Disneyland:
Beginning June 5, Peter Pan’s Flight, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and Alice in Wonderland at Disneyland Park will be closed for refurbishment. Reopening dates are not yet available.

It’s worth noting these three attractions are all in the same show building in Fantasyland.

Scott Gustin
Gonna be a rough summer with these three rides and Splash going down as well.

The other half of those HEA vids are probably me. I have it bookmarked on my laptop and play it almost every morning before the kids come in, and sometimes on my lunch, too. 🤣

Disneyland does at least still have the benefit of having the most attractions of any Disney Park. I think even with the 4 down they’d still have the most. But yeah, not the greatest situation.
Peter Pan & Alice always have long waits. Losing those 3 rides plus Splash Mountain in early June will have a pretty big impact, especially in Fantasyland. I'm really not looking forward to it :( Hopefully the refurbishment is a quick one. Even with the amount of rides we have here in a small space, we still need as many crowd eaters as we can get. But, on that note, I'm going to make a point of getting in line for Mr. Toad's + Alice next week.

as a large mom just trying to get healthy and be a good example for her kids, this has me kind of emotional. Very cool Disney.

Disney Eats: First Look at ‘Shimmering’ Disney Cruise Line 25th Anniversary Treats

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Disney Cruise Line and, to celebrate, the entire fleet will be welcoming aboard a variety of delicious eats and sips inspired by the shimmering seas. I’m thrilled to share with you a first look at what tasty options you’ll have to sea to believe.

As the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” draws near, the talented pastry chefs and mixologists have been hard at work creating items sure to make a splash, because what better way to celebrate than with flavor?

Let’s jump in and take a peek at all the shimmering sweets, sips, and novelties setting sail this summer from May through September!

25th Disney Cruise Line Cupcake and Mickey Chocolate Sphere

First up, we’re exploring the treats that will be available. The 25th Disney Cruise Line Cupcake features a decadent vanilla sponge cake topped with vanilla frosting, 25th chocolate décor, and, of course, shimmering sprinkles. It’s not just beautiful but delicious too! This sweet selection will be available via amenities on the ship.

If you love chocolate and candy, you’re in luck because there’s a special item specifically crafted for the sweet tooths out there at all the sweet shops on each of the ships – the Mickey Chocolate Sphere. This sweet treat showcases a chocolate Mickey Mouse sphere adorned with the 25th emblem and is filled – yes, filled – with a variety of candy pieces. Simply crack it open and treat yourself.

At both Cabana’s and Marceline’s Market locations, two of the desserts will be getting a Silver Anniversary at Sea upgrade. The 3 Layer Carrot Cake with lemon frosting will be adding 25thchocolate décor and the Disney Cruise Line Anniversary Chocolate Marquise will feature rich chocolate truffle crème topped with the 25thchocolate décor as well!

Chocolate Cream Cookie and Vanilla Crisped Rice Treat

Are you a fan of chocolate cookies? I ‘shore’ hope so! At the concierge lounge, the Chocolate Cream Cookie enrobes a chocolate cream cookie with dulce de leche filling into rich dark chocolate and is decorated with the Silver Anniversary at Sea logo as well as the signature shimmering sprinkles. Also in concierge, the Celebration Cupcake tops a tasty red velvet sponge cake with vanilla frosting, shimmering sprinkles, and 25th chocolate décor.

Captain Minnie is also joining in on the anniversary festivities with the Vanilla Crisped Rice Treat offered at all Cove Café locations. This vanilla-flavored crisped rice treat puts Minnie at the helm with special décor for both her and the anniversary.

Disney Cruise Line Silver Anniversary signature desserts

Last but certainly not least for food, signature desserts throughout the entire fleet will be getting a tasty enhancement. All of these spectacular sweets will be adding a special 25thchocolate piece to their already stunning presentation. At Palo, the classic Chocolate Soufflé with double chocolate sauce, vanilla crèmeanglaise, and vanilla bean gelato will also have a chocolate 25th anniversary piece for you to enjoy!

Do you know what makes a refreshing Coca-Cola event better? When it’s decked out in Disney Cruise Line Silver Anniversary at Sea décor, that’s what! At Preludes and beverage locations on board, you’ll be able to purchase one of these special bottles as a tasty way to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Jubilee by the Sea cocktail and 25th Anniversary coaster and napkins

For those over 21, there is an adult beverage you won’t want to miss at certain lounges across the fleet. The signature Jubilee by the Sea cocktail combines 818 Blanco Tequila, Luxardo Maraschino, and fresh lemon juice with a sparkly, silver dusting and a shimmering blue sugar rim. You’ll even get to bring home a special bookmark featuring how to make this tasty cocktail at home.

Additionally, as you’re sipping on your favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic cocktail, you may even see the exclusive 25th Anniversary coaster and napkins showcased only during these celebratory sailings.

Disney Cruise Line Silver Anniversary Specialty Coffee Mug and 25th Anniversary Beer Mug

If you’re looking to take home some of the fun with you, we’ve also got you covered. Available at coffee shops on board, you’ll discover the Specialty Coffee Mug with a unique anniversary design featuring the Disney Cruise Line fleet and even Mickey Mouse himself. These mugs also come with specialty coffee – yum!
