Pinocchio Village Haus Restrooms to be Expanded and Remodeled in 2023

these restrooms are currently scheduled to be closed in January 2023 for a few months so that they can be remodeled and expanded.

The expansion will see the Women’s restrooms go from 16 to 25 stalls, while the men’s room will go from just 4 stalls to 9 in total. The bathrooms will also finally be themed, featuring wood-style trusses and ornate arches that match the Village Haus interior next door.

Disney CEO Bob Iger has sent out an email informing employees and Cast Members of an upcoming town hall that will take place next Monday, November 28th where he will discuss the future of The Walt Disney Company. Iger will return to the Walt Disney Studio Lot after reportedly working from New York over the past few days.

Iger says that he is focused on building on Disney’s legacy of “creativity, innovation, and inspiration” but didn’t offer further details about his plans for the future. Iger said he will also field questions during the employee-only town hall, which will be held at 9am PT.

There's something funny about making announcements for a bathroom rennovation.

Like of all the news in the last few years, do you know how happy I am to see boring Disney headlines about bathroom overhauls?

Just makes me giggle.

My favorite was when Disney announced Tangled was coming to the Magic Kingdom and it ended up being a bathroom LOL

The bathrooms by Village Haus are one of the worst ones in the park so I'm glad to see them being renovated.

Walt Disney Imagineering Shares Closer Look at Sculpted Characters and Moana Details in Journey of Water Attraction Coming to EPCOT

Walt Disney Imagineering has shared a closer look at the sculpted characters and details that will tie in with the Moana film in the Journey of Water walkthrough attraction at EPCOT. Here’s the announcement:

Throughout Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, guests will have the opportunity to discover characters from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Moana” carved into the rocks and waterways of their surroundings. Our Imagineers worked closely with the studio to develop the artistic style of these characters who will naturally take form within the water-filled landscape. We are excited to see guests make their way through this self-guided trail next year and discover how Moana and her friends truly inspired the surroundings of this experience!

4 Ways Walt Disney World Cast are Giving Back This Thanksgiving

It’s the season of giving here at Walt Disney World Resort and cast members are once again putting Central Florida first as we gear up for one of our favorite holiday traditions: our annual Thanksgiving meal service at Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.

For nearly 25 years, the Disney culinary team has prepared home-cooked meals for hundreds of residents to enjoy, served by cast volunteers – or Disney VoluntEARS – as part of this special tradition we look forward to each year.

“We couldn’t do what we do without the help of our community partners like Disney,” said Allison Krall, President & CEO of Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. “We love seeing Disney VoluntEARS at the shelter, and it’s especially uplifting to see the extra magic they bring to our residents on Thanksgiving evening.”

This year, we’re building on these efforts and chefs are also preparing all the traditional fixings for residents at Harbor House of Central Florida, an organization that helps pull people to safety and hope from domestic abuse.

And what’s a Thanksgiving meal without dessert? We’re teaming up with Osceola Council on Aging to bring some tasty treats to more than 200 displaced seniors who were impacted by Hurricane Ian. Since the storm, we’ve continued supporting this organization through monetary and critical resource donations including food, water, blankets, hygiene products and more. Learn more about these relief & recovery efforts on the Disney Parks Blog.

“When we had to cancel our annual fundraiser due to Hurricane Ian, Disney stepped in to cover our full fundraising goal,” said Wendy Ford, President & CEO of Osceola Council on Aging. “From monetary support to ensuring displaced seniors have a memorable Thanksgiving meal, we couldn’t be more grateful.”

For some extra hands-on helping, Disney VoluntEARS are working alongside Heart of Florida United Way as we pack more than 4,000 meal kits for residents in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Disney VoluntEARS program plays a huge role in the Disney Cast Life experience, providing opportunities just like this for cast members to make meaningful impacts on our community and inspire optimism and hope for all who call Central Florida home.

It’s hard to put into words just how special it is to see the efforts of so many cast members coming together in such a big way for our community – and all of this joins the more than 170K volunteer hours spent in the community and $5.5 million given since the start of the 50th Anniversary celebration.

From all of us here at Walt Disney World Resort, happy Thanksgiving! To read more about Disney’s legacy of support – including a recent $300K donation to local food banks near Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort – visit Impact.Disney.Com.

OK, I love Moana. But is this the best they could do? A walk through of sculpted "rock"? Yawn.

There are also water features associated with this project. The rockwork details have to be finished before the water elements can be fully tested. This isn’t opening until late 2023 at the current moment so there’s still a way to go with it.

Rumor: Major overhaul of Disney Park Pass reservations and Park Hopping coming to Walt Disney World in the new year

Based on significant push-back from guests on the current reservation system, much of the existing Disney Park Pass system will be removed and simplified, providing guests with an experience closer to pre-pandemic conditions.

Park hopping will return for date-based tickets at any time and will no longer be restricted to 2pm. Annual Passholders will still be restricted but will likely be able to park hop earlier than the current 2pm limit.

Date-based Walt Disney World theme park tickets will no longer require a Park Pass reservation, with park entry secured upon purchasing the ticket. Annual Passholders will still need a reservation, at least initially.

Disney introduced Park Pass as a way to control attendance and labor, and these changes in early 2023 may at first appear to be reducing Disney's operational control. However, the new system will control attendance by limiting ticket sales for a given day rather than selling an unlimited number of tickets and restricting access via a Park Pass.

These changes have been in the works for the last few months, and although the system is nearly ready, we understand it will not debut until early 2023, most likely in January.

Just checking to see that it's Thanksgiving and not April Fools ...
