If it’s a popular restaurant, then finding another time to move to can prove difficult.

We had a flight canceled summer 2021 in the morning we were supposed to leave, and my husband started feeling sick. The app wouldn’t let me modify our ADR, and I couldn’t get through on the phone. We were in the park, but since my husband was feeling ill, we didn’t want to talk to anyone in person and possibly get them sick. So, we just took the $30 hit. It wasn’t worth my time to try to fix it.

So someone else in my party can also make reservations for the same time bucket I have one. Ah.

Yes, this works because you don't have to name everyone using the reservation. So if I reserve a party of 4 for myself and 3 unnamed people, my wife can reserve a party of 4 for herself and 3 unnamed people. The system doesn't know that we intend to dine together. We could be dining with separate groups of friends.

However, if I make the reservation for myself, my wife, and my parents, then my wife's reservation would conflict with mine.
