Kakamora Characters Sculpted Into Rocks at Moana – Journey of Water Attraction in EPCOT

In our photos below, you can see the characters sculpted in rock behind some scaffolding. We anticipate that even more characters will be sculpted into the rocks in the coming weeks and months as construction continues towards a likely 2023 opening timeframe.

Disney Being Sued Over Streaming Network Price Increase

According to a piece in Forbes, The German Verbraucherzentrale Brandenburg (VZB) Consumer Advocacy Group has started legal proceedings against Disney. Disney is being sued over the grounds that the provision in the Disney+ contract for increasing prices unilaterally without restrictions and at the customer’s expense is in violation of legal regulations.

You can check out the official press release from the advocacy group here.

Walt Disney World Announces Official End Date for 50th Anniversary “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”

Walt Disney World turned 50 on October 1, 2021, and kicked off 18 months of The World’s Most Magical Celebration. Now, an official end date has been announced.

The Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebrations will end on March 31, 2023.

Previously, Disney had only formally stated “March 2023” and it was assumed based on past events that March 31 was the exact date. The assumption has proven correct.

Disneyland Paris News:

CONFIRMED: ‘Tangled Round Ride’ Being Built at Disneyland Paris, Likely to Be Announced at D23 Expo

The new attraction will be a “spinner” ride similar to the Mad Tea Party (or Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups for those who frequent Disneyland Paris), but replaces the tea cups with wooden boats that spin around hundreds of lanterns. This will recreate what has to be the most famous scene from “Tangled.” It is rumored that the ride system will be ordered from manufacturer Zamperla.

A little bit disappointing that this is going to be a Tea Cups style ride but I'll take this over a Tangled themed bathroom any day.

Do we think the golden statues leave then, too? I mean, the interaction with them was one of the big selling points to Magic band+,, I just can’t see they only have the two together for 7 months or so?

I could see this as an ever evolving functionality to keep folks interested. Every so often they put out some new sort of interactive thing within the parks for MB+.

So get rid of the statues and do something new

Some Favorites Already Removed as Reduced Menu Debuts at Connections Eatery in EPCOT

We stopped in at Connections Eatery in EPCOT today and noticed two menu items have been removed: the Banh Mi Burger and the Mediterranean Burger.

These items were part of the menu when we reviewed every item back in April.
We had a pretty dismal experience a cpl. weeks ago there, which was our first time. The service was soooo slow (no mobile order also a bummer). Our group of 9 tried several different things and really just no one liked their food. We tried eating at Sunshine Seasons a later night for dinner but didn't realize they stopped serving hot food after 4 (pretty disappointing), but not 1 person in our group was willing to eat at Connections again so we ended up.just skipping dinner that night (didn't have time to walk back through WS due to fastpasses in FW).

So, really just the decorations will start coming down then??? I can't think of anything they did new/special other than that. Do we think HEA may come back at that point?

I asked DH the same question earlier…. He doesn’t feel they’d go “backwards” and bring HEA back …but I really hope he’s wrong. 😕
I hope they do. We’ve been discussing that as well. The voice has been clear from fans, would be an easy fan service as well as the fact they wouldn’t have to admit they made a mistake with Enchantment, instead saying it was just for the 50th.

I don't know, considering the outcry of it going and the lacklustre reception to Enchantment. It will be cheaper to bring back HEA rather than another brand new show. I would be surprised is Cheapek would want to spend the money tbh. Enchantment is supposed to be a 50th show, Disney can always say it was only a tempoary show and save face, say they know how much people love HEA etc.

I believe there are other things that are part of the 50th Anniversary Celebrations:
- 30 min Early Entry for theme park guests (this one I’m not positive about)
- Evening Extra Hoyrs got deluxe resort guests
-50th Anniversary Tour
-50th Anniversary merchandise
-50th Anniversary food/snacks
- 50th Anniversary magic Shots

Josh D’Amaro Says Rising Prices & Discontinuation of Services at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort is ”An Inevitable Result of Progress”

As prices continue to soar at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, Josh D’Amaro describes it as “the inevitable result of progress” according to a new article from the Wall Street Journal.
This is corporate double speak if I've ever heard it.

So progress = having a product so awesome that people are willing to pay more for less until you find their breaking point.

Which is fine, I suppose, so long as the economy can bear it.

However, economic kerfuffles DO happen. And then, WDW is scrambling to get people in the parks. BUT, if they've alienated the base that was so faithful to them, then what?

The overwhelming crowds kept us from trying it.
