You won’t need a park pass for the day. That’s the price to get entry at 4. There will be a separate entry set up for those with Party Tickets.

OK I see thanks. I mean that probably brings some folks in that want to try it, and they don't have to by the park pass. We did that a number of years for HH Nights-then hit Gringotts etc as part of the evening.

Then again, they were open until 2AM those nights, and I think it was more like $65.

MagicBand+ Debuts at Walt Disney World​

It’s official, folks! MagicBand+ has made its debut at Walt Disney World. We found the brand new bands this morning at World of Disney in Disney Springs.

Unlike the regular MagicBands, MagicBand+ must be charged for use. It comes with a charger and USB cord.

To charge the MagicBand+, snap the band into the charger with the Mickey icon in the center. The band comes fully charged at the time of purchase.

On the back, you can see where the charger will match up with the band. The Mickey icon can be removed with a small screwdriver.

Here’s a look at the band snapped into the charger.

A green light pulsed while it was plugged in. To remove the band from the charger, gently push up on either side.

Here’s a look at the band out of the packaging. Like the older models, part of the strap can be removed to adjust the size. From our experience, children will likely need to remove the extra band piece.

OOPS! New MagicBand+ Released Early By Mistake!​

The new MagicBand+ was NOT supposed to hit store shelves today, they were put out in error! The bands that had restocked to the shelves were immediately pulled down and awaiting patrons were told there would not be more available today.

A source told MickeyBlog that there was definitely a miscommunication this morning, causing an erroneous release of the red, black and blue Mickey-faced bands. Those seemingly lucky guests who purchased bands this morning will find that they will not be able to connect to any of the new MagicBand+ features until the full release. We imagine there is some disappointment on the horizon!

I just went to check if they were available yet for pre-arrival and alas they are not. In fact there are only three (3) bands available on the MDE for upcoming trip pre-arrival purchase. What a joke!

Really wish they'd announce for Disneyland too. I see literal DAILY posts of confusion because of Disney's announcement of both parks with a horribly uneven rollout.

It is. Amazing how the resellers always manage to be in the right place at the right time, like it’s coordinated with cast members or something.

Hopefully, since the features are not available yet, the Ebayers will get what they deserve.

I think I will wait until the designed ones come out. I prefer the designs they showed instead of just solid colors. They would be replacing our limited edition MB that make special sounds lights at the park entrances/G+ tapstiles, so I don't really want to "downgrade".
