Guests visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park now have the opportunity to learn how to sketch one of the Fab 5 characters (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, or Pluto) at The Animation Experience at Conservation Station!

The experience will be available to Guests daily at the following times (schedule subject to change without notice):

New Construction Walls Installed in World Nature at EPCOT

The construction walls surround an area that was simply a planter but could contain more infrastructure elements as Disney continues work nearby on the Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana attraction and the rest of World Celebration. We would be hesitant to connect the work any further because there is still a guest pathway that cuts between the new construction walls and the existing construction pit in the middle of EPCOT. Here’s a look at the new construction zone, which is nearest the World Nature Restrooms.

Do we have to actually be there to join the virtual queue? We live an hour away so I didn’t know if we could join from home then drive over when we know our window

We've been able to make virtual cue reservations for rides from out of state, like at the airport before boarding the plane. You could always try to make a virtual que reservation from home as a test run to see if it works.

Bring back the Animation drawing in the Hollywood Studios. That was very popular and fun. You actually sat at an animation desk instead of using a clipboard on your lap. It was a great experience.

Disney Festival of Fantasy performance times available for the return of the Magic Kingdom's daily parade

Performance times are now available for the return of Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom beginning March 9 2022.

In a departure from the normal 3pm slot, in its first week the parade will take place twice each day, at 11:30am and then 2:30pm for March 9 - 12, moving to the more traditional time of 12pm and 3pm from March 13 onwards.

Times are only available through April 2 2022, so it isn't clear yet if the parade will continue with two performances per day beyond the busy spring break period.

Disney World Begins Implementing MagicBand+ Effects Into Theme Parks

Ahead of the debut of MagicBand+ at the Walt Disney World theme parks later this year, Disney has begun to add support to the Fab 50 character sculptures for previously promised “interactive” features. As you can see in our photos below, speakers have recently been added to various Fab 50 sculptures in the theme parks. Here’s a closer look.

Parking Lot Trams Removed from Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Since the Disney World theme parks shut down in March 2020, a few parking lot trams have remained stationed at the back of the Animal Kingdom parking lot. Recently, Disney removed the parking lot trams from the Animal Kingdom parking lot entirely – either a good sign or a bad sign. It could be a good sign because this might signal that Disney is servicing the trams and will bring them back soon. Of course, removing them completely means that their return likely isn’t imminent.

Last year, Disney promised to bring the parking lot trams back to all four theme parks, but they have not announced any plans beyond the current operation at Magic Kingdom.

Does anyone know when the EPCOT construction is supposed to be completed? We're thinking about a quick trip a year from now, but with EPCOT 1 of the 2 planned parks, I'm a bit nervous what state it will be in for a fellow traveler's first WDW trip....TIA!
