I am looking through the Swiss Colony catalog. These things are unreal! How cool would it be to hear the Mickey Mouse song while waiting for your toast to pop up? They have Cinderella and Pooh and Tigger also. They have pictures toasted into the bread also.

I think I found MIL's gift, and my Yankee swap gift for our family Christmas party. :teeth:

I have the Mickey Mouse toaster that plays "Its A Small World" and I love it. My imprint on the bread is Mickey Mouse.

I bought one about 3 years ago and quickly returned it because although it was cute playing the music, no matter what I did, it wasn't toasting evenly on both sides. I was pretty bummed.

Maybe they've improved them since.

My DM has one and they are cute, but kids will think they are cute and will want to make the song play, and nothing is cute before coffee, not even the toaster. Just a warning.

Mine quit playing music after only 3 weeks. :guilty:

I gave one to my sister as a gift. It also stopped playing music after only a few uses. :confused3

Ours is still chugging along merrily over a year later. Works fine. Ours is the "MM Club March" version.

Mine sometimes plays a warped version of it's tune, but I like it. Be warned though: it scares the crap out of my cats - even after over a year. If you have animals, they probably won't like it.

It says that the cinderella one plays "the waltz of the flowers" - I can't think of where that song is from and what it would sound like... can anyone help?

While reading a review someone suggested pressing a cookie cutter into a slice of bread - not enough to cut it - just enough to make an imprint and then toast it - that sounds cute -- I am going to try it.

But am also seriously considering buying a toaster - now which the Cinderella or Mickey Mouse? :goodvibes

We have the Mickey Mouse one and have the same problems as others have posted. It doesn't toast evenly. My kids love the music though.

We received one last Christmas to get in the Disney mood for our December 2005 trip. It worked well until last month when the toast wouldn't stay down and the music played warbly. Is that a word? :confused3 It was so great hearing it play "Mickey Mouse Club" every morning. With 4 kids I make a lot of toast. Maybe they didn't like Mom singing and dancing around the kitchen to the toaster music as much as I did and dropped it without telling me. Well, I really miss it. It's just not the same using the toaster oven.:sad1:

We have had the "Winnie the Pooh" one for about 2 years now. It works well. My 2 yr. old son especially loves it. When ever he hears the music he says "toe!" It is too cute!

I want one! Been hinting to dh that I want one for Christmas!

I just looked them up. They are really cute, but I sure would be more than bummed if the music stopped playing after paying $50 for a toaster. I have a toaster oven that was less than that and does more than toast bread.

I've had a Mickey one for about 3 yrs. It's still going strong, playing "It's a Small World", but it's not the best toaster ever made. It's good for regular sized slices of bread, but try to stick an Aunt Jemima waffle in there, and you'll be shaking that thing upside down to get it out. I think the problem is actually the cute Mickey that imprints your toast. The waffle gets caught on it and it's very hard to retrieve.

My mom gave DDs the Pooh one last year. "Winnie the Pooh" at some unGodly hour of the morning is NOT fun and I can't figure out how to turn the music off! The bee also lost its wings within a few weeks. We had a contractor stop by when I was making toast for DDs one morning...at least *HE* thought it was funny!

I was given the Mickey Mouse one bought from Disney World. It played the Mickey Mouse Club for about 3 weeks and then quit. The imprint of Mickey has never been great either and it does not toast even.
My Mom paid $60 for it, A real bummer for the money!

I have the MM one. A friend gave it to me last year for Christmas. Mine plays the MM Club march and it's still going strong. It doesn't toast the most evenly, but I really like it and so does DH.

My mom has one that plays the Mickey Mouse March song.

Now while a great novelty...I don't think it is a great toaster for long term. It was great the first few times on visits. Now--I just don't even bother.

My daughters get a kick out of it, though.

I have 2, actually. Both are the Mickey ones that play the MM Club March. The first one stopped playing after only a few uses, I called the phone # on the paper that was in the box, and they said they would send me another one. Well, before I could even do that, my BiL gave me another one for Christmas! We've had this one almost a year and it's still going strong. You guys who have had one quit on you might want to call the manufacturer and try sending them back. The lady I spoke with was great.
