Hey to each thier own, but I can get an IRIVER for cheaper than an IPOD and get the music cheaper as well

I think you're missing the point... for most of the little girls this is being bought for, if it doesn't have TINKERBELL on it, it doesn't matter if it can cook, clean and do laundry... its just not worth it!!!

Just do a google search for torrents. I use a program called BitTorrent, after i installed that program I go to sites like mininova.org or torrentreactor.net. There's a lot more than that. Then you do a search, and it will come up with full cd's and you click the one you want, preferably with more seeds than leechers. Then it downloads.

I don't think I would have the patience for the record option though, I'm always on the go. So it's just better for me to drag and drop songs onto my iPod from my computer, then off I go. lol

I told dh about it this afternoon and he is going to research them 1st. He thinks if they are that cheep it may be a hassle to download from our computer. I bought the barbie digital camera last year and yet to figure it out.it wont download the pics onto our computer, I guess thats what you get for $34.99 right now we have Iriver and I just plug our mp3 player into the usb port click iriver and download music from our computer. we have all our cds in the computer so I can just pick and delete as I like. I want it to be that easy for her if we do end up getting her the princess one.. we will see.. let me know if anyone has tried to use it. thanks

I want the Tinkerbell one for myself!! When someone finally gets one - can they please let us know how they are?! I really don't want to spend a lot of money on an MP3 player since I don't listen to music that much outside of my office & there I listen to music off of my computer but I really really love Tinkerbell & I want Santa to bring me one!

So according to the above post you can download music from cd to this MP3 player. My question is how do you play music on this? Is it by headphones connected to it or do you hook it up to your computer or what? Ok all of you tech savvy people help!!.

Okay so an MP3 Player is a player that plays music. It has a head phone port that you plug you head phones into like a portable CD Player. A MP3 player is alot better then a portable CD player in MHO. I really think this because you can have more then one cd on most MP3 players and you can download them from the net or from cd's you have! If you have a digital camera it is the same concept as loading it up and down from the comp.

I was at Target this evening and I saw a Target worker building an endcap display for the Disney MP3 player. So, I think it should be coming to everyone's Target in the very, very near future. The Disney player looks great! Even though I have a U2 IPOD, I have to say, this is a must on my Christmas list!

I ordered the Mickey and Princess one through Disneyshopping.com last Friday. I received 15% with the Disney Visa code and free shipping and no tax (this ended on Sat). I thought this was a Great price, especially since one of these are replacing a $270 Ipod Mini Christmas present for my dd8 that will be returned. She LOVED the silver Mickey when she saw it online! The case that goes with the silver is cute also.

I'm wanting to get the Mickey silver MP3 player for my daughter "Mickey". The thing I like about it is that it comes with everything you need......ear phones, lanyard and the chip and a rechargable battery too. By Disney's description it sounds like the mix clip that comes with it only has Disney music "samples" and should have lots of room on it for your own choices of music. Correct me if I'm wrong.....I'd also like to hear how you like it if you're a lucky owner. I know I'll be checking out my Target next week!! I think 50$ is about all I'm willing to part with to satisfy my daughters need to hear the "in" tunes......just can't see how buying an I-pod would be a better decision right now, although I am open to opinions. Thanks!

Yes that is how it works, but luckily there aren't any bands who make a cd that you would want the whole thing of right....lol.

It's not a problem for me because I listen and record at the same time while I am doing my work. Like I said all you do is press record to start and stop rcording, so when I am on live 365 or launchcast I can freely listen until I hear a song I want and just play record, or I can just borrow a cd from someone a quickly record a song or 2 without being near a computer...heck we can be at a ballgame while I do it.

What is a good price for the IRiver? This may be a good idea for my 13yo. I dont trust him enough with an Ipod. Also my wallet isnt that big.In the long run do you think the IRiver or the new Mickey one will be better for a teen.

I was thinking of getting the Tinkerbell one for my dd who is 10 but then I went to best buy to price out the memory to upgrade it to 1 GB and it was $109. (reg price) Also, although a previous poster said it would hold 750 songs with the 1 GB of memory, the clerk at best buy said it would only hold around 250. Anyone have a clue on which one is correct? Now, I am not sure if I should buy the disney one or the ipod seeing as they are within about $50 or so. I think the clincher for me will be how many songs the disney one actually will hold. Patty

hegs65, you can get SD/MMC cards for cheap online . You don't need to buy a 1GB either. You can buy smaller cards which are a lot cheaper. Then your daughter can just carry around different cards. A 128 mb card should hold around 20 songs.

If you go to ecost.com to their bargain countdown page, you can see the various sales on SD cards. Right now there's a 1 GB card regularly $64 with a $30 MIR - putting it at $34. Or a 256mb card that's regular $40 with a $40 MIR - final price FREE.

The things with the cards for MP3 playing is that it doesn't need to be super fast, unlike cards for photography. You can get the cheaper ones and it'll still work fine for an MP3. I have an SD card based MP3 and there's no difference when using the cheaper cards vs ultra high speed cards.
