Ok, so I got my December newsletter... so where the heck is my 5 points bonus logo?? I've scanned the whole stupid thing and can't seem to find it.

And does any one know if they'll do another bonus thing like they did last year??

I noticed that the one that arrived today isn't the normal monthly newsletter; it says it's the Rewards Center Stage, a new newsletter. Is that the one you got? I bet the normal newsletter will arrive later on.

OK I was thrown when you said December, LOL. Part of my brain is living in December for our trip, so it didn't sound odd.

I got, in my inbox, the new newsletter.

But I didn't get the November newsletter. however, when you sign into your DMR account, look over on the right under the points and codes you've entered. There you should see the "Message Center", and under that your November newsletter should be there.

Click into the Message Center, then expand that, and you will be able to click into the Nov newsletter.

If you DID get the actual, normal, Nov newsletter, scroll down, and in that email (and on the email you can see on the DMR site) there's a star on the right maybe half way down, saying to get your 5 points here. Click that! :)

I saw somewhere that they will be doing the 5pt each day of December thingy like last year. I think it said at ABCFamily.com or something like that. Can't remember where I saw it.

Hope you don't mind me asking a question on your thread but since you are all Disney Movie Club members, I think you'll know the answer. :) I bought Toy Story 3 through the Club and it was just shipped but on my account, it doesn't say that this movie counted toward my commitment. Why?

I reeeeally want the Jim Shore Winnie the Pooh reward they are offering for tomorrow only. Now I just need to remember to log on at noon tomorrow!

Piggybacking... thinking of signing up for this after 3 offers in the mail. I know the first 5 count towards the committment, and the 6th one for $11.95 does, too... does the 7th one for $8.95 count? Thanks!!!

I'm also planning on using my pts for this Jim Shore Winnie the Pooh Snowman. Why are you waiting till noon to log on? Just wondering.

This is what I got too and I don't see where it says you get 5 points for this? So are you saying it's not a newsletter and I should get that? Itried to do what you said in your later post about my message center but I still don't see a place to get a code? No newsletters in my inbox. Just special offers. I also notice when I look at my rewards that I didn't get a bonus for the October newsletter, so I must've missed it on that newsletter also. Any help on how to redeem this 5 point code would be appreciated.

There might just be a delay.

Or...
Did you order anything other than TS3? If so, did TS3 end up being cheaper than it would have been, thereby disqualifying it from being one of ones that count. From the membership info:

Fulfilling Your Agreement: Each movie purchased at the member's respective regular Club price counts as 1 unit toward completing the purchase commitment. Regular Club prices start at just $19.95 per DVD and $29.95 per Blu-ray™ for members who joined under a DVD enrollment offer. Regular Club prices start at $29.95 per DVD and $29.95 per Blu-ray™ for members who joined under a Blu-ray™ enrollment offer. (PLEASE NOTE: Discounted or sale-priced movies, non-recorded merchandise, music product, special offers, and promotional items do not count toward fulfilling your purchase commitment, unless otherwise indicated. Other exclusions and exceptions will be noted in particular mailings or online at DisneyMovieClub.com.) Multipacks are subject to different commitment rules, and their value toward your purchase commitment will be noted in individual communications.

But I'd just give it time, at least until it arrives, and see if the status changes.

I don't think it works that way. When I joined, the free movies mainly didn't count towards the commitment.

"By agreeing to purchase at least 5 regular-priced movies in the next 24 months, you qualify to receive 4 Disney DVDs of your choice from the list of titles currently available from the Disney Movie Club for $1.99 each. Shipping and processing is free."

The 5th bonus movie will count, but I think that's all of those movies that count. And the 6th is just discounted, but doesn't count.

That's just from their info page about membership.

And when I check my own account (I'm a VIP member which means I met the commitment and now get really nice offers), it matches that. I got 5 titles in the first shipment, and only ONE counted.

Be sure you have 5 full priced titles you want to buy, along with the ones you'll get for cheap. And then buy those titles as fast as you can. It's REALLY easy to talk yourself out of buying through the club, because it's so easy to find titles for less expensive (Costco was evil when it came to trying to finish up DMC!). The total you'll spend on movies will likely be better or even, compared to buying them in person, b/c of the cheap ones up front. But it's a mental game, the longer you go, to convince yourself of that!

Lastly, FYI, what the OP was asking about is Disney Movie Rewards, not the Disney Movie Club. Please do join DMR, because that's where you put the codes from your Disney movies, to earn free stuff. But they aren't the same website. :)

I don't that this new, special newsletter has a 5 point code on it.

*******************************

OK after typing a bunch of stuff, I re-read your post and saw that you only see the Special Offers! And this time I understood what you are saying.

Do you have *any* newsletters in the Message Center, once expanded? The ones from when you were receiving newsletters in your email inbox? If so, I wonder if you were unsubscribed somehow.

I just clicked on My Account, and I see the Preference Center. "Click the update button to manage the emails you want to receive from Disney Movie Rewards and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment."

But then that doesn't make sense, b/c it says "I'd like to receive occasional updates, newsletters, and special offers from Disney Movie Rewards.", so the newsletters and special offers are combined in one!

Well that's just mystifying, and I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. :(

Yeah, the top of the page says "rewards center stage",

what made me think it was the monthly newsletter was the subject line.

Disney Movie Rewards Your Members-Only Rewards Newsletter Mon, 11/15/10 57KB

Which I believed to be the monthly email with the 5 points in it. Usually if there's a promotion or something, the title will be in reference to it.

In the usually monthly newsletter there's a little star with a 5 in it for the bonus points.

Was it blu ray, and are you in the dvd club? The dvd/blu ray combo Bugs Life I bought counted, but the blu ray/dvd combo Bolt I bought didn't.
