Disney Movie Rewards, WWYD?

Okay, say you have an Inferno and you have 650 movie rewards points. Would you spend the 650 and get a second Inferno, or would you hold onto the points and wait to see if VMK brings out another new movie rewards prize?

I would get inferno.. because you can trade it for a pretty good value.. and I dont think anything else will be released...

You never know if VMK might go away tomorrow, or maybe you get accused of violating the VMK Values, and then what happens to your virtual prizes?

Well, I'm not too concerned about that. With all the points I've accumulated through buying movies, only once have I bought a movie solely for the points and I've never watched it. All the other movies I've gotten, I bought because I enjoy them. The movie rewards thing is really just a bonus, so if I use up all my points on virtual things for a game that shuts down, it's really no big deal to me.

But anyway, assuming the only two choices are getting a second Inferno and waiting to see if something new is brought out for VMK, which is the better choice?

But virtual stuff takes up so little space! (I tend to just stash real Disney stuff away and never get around to displaying it.)

I doubt that Disney Movie Rewards will come out with any more new VMK prizes any time soon, because they only recently added the last three.

If you really only want one Inferno, what about getting the Mickey window? So many people are using their points for Inferno (or the red Stitch hat) that I'm guessing there won't be a lot of windows in the game.

I actually have one account that i use properly lol

From that account I have put in over 3200 points from over half teh movies, and yes, I did get my wife the mickey watch. She got herself all the pin sets with her account.

And no, I do not own, or work for, a video store

I have never bought a single movie. I still wont use my points on inferno even tho i could , I traded for all my codes. Its just me but I am waiting for that next thing @_@

Personally, I would not redeem my rewards for virtual items on vmk, but like another member stated maybe the lithographs, watches, etc. Here is a picture of the details:

Personally, I would wait and see, especially since you already have an inferno. That's what I'm doing, and I don't even have one already. I'm up to 1800 credits (most of the movies were ones I already had anyway), but have yet to redeem any of them because for me inferno is not something that is worth the amount of money that was invested. It would KILL me if I saved up all those credits and used a bunch of them only to discover the next month that something Alice in Wonderland got released and I no longer have enough. Keep something in mind though. The terms of service say that the promotion is going to run through February 28, 2009, so make sure you do plan for using your credits before then.

Yes it's true you can only redeem one of each virtual prize per account.

I set up two accounts planning to get two movie sets, but well...still have to enter codes that I've not lost for that second acct. The good news is, if I ever do enter them, I'll have my first inferno! I love the Mickey window, but am rarely in my own rooms so wouldn't get to enjoy it as often. Good thing about inferno is that it lasts longer. I have no idea why they didn't make shark and Stitch magic last longer rather than recharge faster. Would have been way cooler, imo.

I'd probably get the extra inferno. I know some people think it's crazy to use the points on virtual items, if there were ever something real there that I wanted, I'd use my codes for that. (Doc how sweet to get the watch for your wife)

We are like you, though, Mnementh as we are purchasing those movies anyway. The codes are just the bread and butter so I don't mind using them for VMK stuff. We are already looking ahead at Dalmatians and Enchanted, so more desirable movies are coming out. Whatever you decide, you'll be the envy of the Kingdom!

I put points into more than one account, so I could get multiple infernos if I wanted. Right now I am getting one of each prize (except I haven't gotten the mickey window yet).

I get most of my points from going to movies in the theater and not so much from the DVDs these days.

Yeah, that's how I'm planning to get a second Inferno, also (if I choose to use my points on that rather than waiting).

So far, I have one of every VMK item available from the movie rewards and I used my own points to get all of them except for the Mickey window, which I traded for. If I'm going to get a second one of anything, it will be Inferno.

Thanks everyone for your input. I've heard convincing arguments for both sides. Guess I'll have to think on it some more.

I would buy myself something nice. I was on VMK two years ago, and on here too but i quit and lost all my stuff. What would happen if I quit again!

But if we were talking about if we had to buy a VMK item, ya i would defiently buy another inferno. I don't have one in the first place anyways!! LOL

If I were in your shoes....

I would get a stitch hat, with a second choice being the window. Actually if you get the window, you still will have some nice points left over to put towards anything that might interest you in the future.
