Disney Movie Rewards and VMK UPDATE

I didn't want to post about this earlier because I wanted to give VMK and Disney time to figure out what happened but it's been over 2 weeks and I can't seem to get ANYONE to help. My Daughter FINALLY earned enough points to get the VMK Theater (500 Movie Reward points) and was so excited! I decided to enter the code on my character and wouldn't you know, I entered the code, it took the code and I never received a pop-up window telling me the code worked AND never received the items. I did try entering the code again and it said it was not a valid code. I am positive the code I entered the first time was correct and again, it took it and didn't give me a message or the items.

So, of course I followed the rules and reported this to VMK and Disney Movie Rewards (DMR). I receive a reply within hours from DMR asking for some additional information (it was not a form letter) which I provided. After about 8 days I contact DMR again and receive a response that they are still waiting to hear back from VMK. By the way SO AM I! I have never received a response from VMK.

It's been 16 days and still nothing. I am an understanding person and I do realize VMK is busy but come on, this is plenty of time to answer e-mail (from Disney Rewards and myself) and determine what happened. I am not trying to 'rip-off' anyone, I would just like the items she earned with the rewards or I would like the points back.

My daughter saved a long time for this and it makes me angry that we haven't even received a response from VMK.

Has anyone else had issues with VMK and Disney Movie Rewards?

I had problems with my code. I called and spoke with someone, as opposed to hoping for a reply from the black hole. It was resolved very quickly.

So sorry to hear that you are not receiving the customer service you should from a company that prides itself on customer service.

I have had this happen before, you sometimes have to wait for the code to pop up, but, if you enter the same code again before you get the popup, the code becomes invalid and you never get your items - it has happened to me a few times on quest card codes. VMK has never done anything about it for me at least
 
I also called them when I had a problem with the theater code. The issue was resolved very quickly. Here's the #: 1-866-246-8646. Good luck!

I did call and the person who is in charge of contacting VMK is was away from her desk. They are going to call me back, hopefully. ;)

Hope they give you a new code :thumbsup2 , that happened to me once but luckily I was sent a new one via e-mail.
 
This also happened to me! I recieved the code for the theater set. Got on Vmk and entered it . It came up that it did not match any of there codes or something like that. I have e-mailed the disney rewards program site four times now and keep getting back a reply to enter the date I tried entering the code and my characters name. Well it has been since March 9th, and I am still waiting for something to happen. :sad2:

although it is sad that vmk do not play fair with these codes, spare a thought for us in england, we do not get codes in our dvds so we can not even join the scheme, to get the rewards, to get the stuff,and ppl want the earth if they trade it, having said that i hope it gets sorted out for you, as it is not fair, when something is offered ,then not given, good luck.

I agree with lisuhut. It's totally unfair. Hope you get the code! :)
 
Just as an added note...make sure when you buy the "qualified" dvd's, that you are buying the newer ones. When I purchased a number of dvds (as gifts for neices! ahem) one of them did not have a code inside. I emailed the disney rewards ppl and they promptly got back to me with how I could redeem the points. They also wanted to know all about where I purchased the dvd, etc. (Walmart).

Here, in Scotland we can also not get the codes but I do realise that VMK is not a worldwide thing really, we miss out on a lot and we just have to trade for things and face the problems.

I am very pleased with Disney Movie Rewards and they are refunding my 500 points.

An interesting point is they said they have been trying to get in touch with VMK since March and no one will get back with them :eek: . As terrible as this is, it's good to know it's not just us. ;)

I think the best rule when dealing with VMK is to not hold your breath, and I mean that with love ;)

LOL so VMK is too good to even talk to other Disney departments?

Hope everything clears up and your daughter gets the theater! :) i had some problems with mine but i called and they sent me a new code so i'm sure your daughter will get her theater :goodvibes
