Exactly what I'm thinking. I've been saving for years for the tour and now that I'm close (11455) I'm worried too since I heard someone else's story.

I did the 3' tall Budderball at 1/2 the points during their November promotion. Totally cool for my 1 and 5 year old girls. That dog is HUGE!!! It made a terrific Christmas gift (and shipped free!!)

Now my points are back up again but I don't see anything else I want...

I wish we could somehow use the points in the parks (not the current promotion they have) ... but like snacks, meals, gift cards to World of Disney or just a general Disney gift card, etc

ITA! I can't for the life of me figure out why Disney giftcards are not an option. Makes no sense. I mean in the end the money is staying with them, so to speak.

In 2009 I cashed out for a Disney movie ticket package. It was basically a 4 pack of tickets for any Disney movie. (I think it was a $40 value IIRC). I liked that since we go to most Disney movies anyway in theaters. I'd be happy with that option too. Just give me something other than movie posters, stuffed animals and so-so older movies, for Pete's sake!

I just used mine to get the High School Musical bike for my DNiece. It is a Huffy and looks nice. She can't wait until Spring to ride it. It seems like everything I try to order is out of stock then doesn't come back. They had princess and cars sleeping bag sets until I wanted to order them, then I tried to order the cars scooter, same thing - back ordered, then they disappeared. I thought I'd have to at least pay for shipping but didn't have to.

A few years ago they had a 3 CD set of Disney CD's that I got -- only 900 pts or so.

Other than that, I usually use it to get stuff from snapfish....prints, cards, calenders and the like.
