Disney month at AAA

Does anyone know what AAA has offered in January for Disney Month in the past? We're ready to book but TA told us to wait until after the first of Jan. even though she's not sure what the special is. Ideas? Thanks.

I've never heard of Disney Month. Is this related to buying a package? I always book with a AAA discount and this was never mentioned, however, I book thru Disney.

January Disney month at AAA is the wording on the flyer from AAA. They knew I was going to book Disney so I received two huge packages from the TA there.

Can you still get the AAA discount booking through disney directly? I couldn't find a place for it online. My regular travel agent said they couldn't get it for me and I had to go through AAA. Any different experiences?

You have to call Disney any you can book your own room only reservation with them, not a package. A package has to be booked through AAA.

It all depends on if you want a package or room only. Room only can be booked thru CRO. Packages can only go thru AAA. I always do room only and have booked thru CRO many times using AAA discount.

I called CRO and made my own ressie with the AAA discount. Just to see if I was getting the best deal I called the local AAA office and asked for a quote. The AAA office quoted me the exact same price.

I received my Membership newsletter today in the mail. It states that if you booked thru AAA you could get up to 30% off the DDP in the month of January. So far I only see it as a 2008 promotion

January is Disney Month at AAA. You get a $25 voucher to use on your trip, but you have to book a package with the dining plan. The price my agent gave me for our tip was the same as I was quoted on Disney's website. The plane tickets were less expensive within the package. I priced out hotel (with AAA discount) discount park tickets, and plane tickets separately and it was more expensive than the package (mainly because of the $65 per plane ticket difference). This is just what I have found with my research.
AAA packages give you a Character Story Time, Planet Hollywood meal voucher, and some other perks like parking advantages (if you rent a car) and coupons.

It is my local Sunday paper also. The add states Book in January and receive up to $50 in Disney Gift Cards and up to 30% off DDP. The Gift offer states you book between 1/1/08-1/31/08 and arrive between 3/1/08-5/31/08 and you will get the Gift Card at check in.

The DDP offer came in the mail and is worded:

In addition to the exclusive AAA benefits and savings on AAA Vacation packages at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort; Disney Cruise Line packages and Adventures by Disney packages, when you book in January 2008 for select travel dates, you'll enjoy an extra benefit. I think the $50 is for some DVC resorts. Otherwise it is $25. Cannot say that is for certain. But I think that is what I recall reading somewhere.

If there is a 30% discount on the ddp, then I'd def use AAA. If not, I don't know if I would be able to trust them. When I went to the AAA office in NYC last year, the travel agent was not knowledgable about Disney at all! It scared me!
