Does anyone have the disney mix stick? I was thinking of buying one for my son. How many songs does it hold. WE got him a bunch of disney cds that I wanted to download to it. Can you get a memory card for it or is that all the memory it will hold?
Thanks

We got our kids the cars mix sticks. We also got a 1 gb memory card. They have about 300 songs on the card now and it is not full.

Thanks for the reply. Where did you get the memory card. Is there a certain type. I am new to all of this. I don't have a mp3 player or any of that. Ifeel so lost.

Both my boys have them and they use a standard SD card. There are tons of them on sale this weekend 2 GB for around $16-$20! (They also work in most Digital cameras and I use them to transfer and store files/pictures on my laptop instead of flash drives.

You might want to check the reviews on these. We bought our DD one for last Christmas and it broke. Don't really know what happened to it, but hubby (who is a techno-junkie) couldn't fix it. He looked some info up and found many had problems with them.

We have 2 Mixstix and they work great- they are really simple to load and use and are a good choice for a 1st MP3 player for a child. BUT I did have to return one for a replacement because it was not working right. Sometimes it just wouldn't turn on and it was tempermental in the JamStand.

We have had 2 and I just returned it again our on/off switch broke off the first and we opened the 2nd one the on/off switch was broke so I have given up on them.

DD got hers last year for Christmas. She loaded it herself and it has worked fine. It holds a lot of songs, the one that came out last year holds more than the older one. She still has room on hers. We upgraded to the Mix Max which she has not used at all! Could be because we can't fiqure out how to load the videos on.:rolleyes1

Hi ceecee- We also upgraded to the MixMix and after a good bit of hard work, finally have figured out how to get the videos to work. It is a lot of work at 1st but once you figure it out is is easy.

That link will walk you through it. I have it down to a science now and I can even convert youtube videos (kinda tricky though) and load them up my my MixMax. (Yes I am an adult and I have a MixMax)

DS has one and we have only loaded about 20 songs. He's had it for about a year and no problems. It's easy for him to use and if we run out of space, we will just get an inexpensive SD card. We got a great deal on it and it was well worth it to us.

these are on sale at TRU friday (secret sales) for i think 20 bucks. DD has one and loves it.

We were going to get one for DD and decided against it. Salesperson at Limited said hers broke after a week. We got the little MP3 player from Limited instead. Comes in pink and blue...looks like a mini Ipod which is good.

I understand the Disney appeal. But after buying the Mix Stix player and the additional memory, I've gotta think you are getting close in price to the Refurb iPod shuffle that is all the rage here on the boards. Just sayin'. :confused3

My dd10 really likes hers. We got the mixmax for her for Christmas last year and it's still working great. She had originally asked for an Ipod shuffle, but we found this to be a better deal, and worked similarly to the shuffle. uploading music to the sd card works great, and doesn't eat up the memory on the player. we got her the jamstand with it too so she could charge it without using the usb port on the computer, but i'm not sure that's available anymore.

We bought the Cars one for our son last Xmas and we had no luck with it. We could not load any music on it with any of the memory cards we bought. It played the mix clips but, they only held his interest for so long.

It is sitting in his dresser and we bought him an iPod nano for an early birthday gift. He is turning 8 and loves music. We have a lot of fun loading it together.

I hope you have better luck then we did. He was really excited about the Mixstick when he got it originally.
