Disney Mix Max what else can you watch?

alright I gave up and bought the Pocket DVD Wizard.
it was only 24.99 and since I have been playing with the free methods for 2 nights now. it is worth it. LOL.
I have been able to download the trial versions of 2 things. I'll keep you posted since i'm going to try a longer movie now. wish me luck!

It's possible but it's difficult to do (the first few times).. I can't remmeber who exactly it was but she gave me a great step by step tutorial on how to rip dvds/movies and download to the mix max. Worked great but I couldn't figure out how to add to the external card and have it work so she was stuck with what the player would hold.

I jsut bought the POC Mix Max at Target for $25.

I also have a TV tuner in my computer. I can surf and watch TV at the same time.

Using Windows Movie Maker, I can record content off Video on Demand. Push play on my TV remote and capture on WMM.

I then use Windows Media Encoder to format it for the Mix Max. (Someone wrote a quick start template for Mix Max movies, so two buttons.) Done.

Tonight I'm going to record Meet the Robinsons, Cars and Ratatouille. I can fit 3 - 4 movies on a 1 GB card.

Love it!
Diana

PS I just wish the battery life was better. I'll have to charge in the car.

Has anyone tried the Nick cards in the MixMax? Apparently the Disney Mix cards work in Nick Fushion media player. Maybe the opposite is the case :confused3

I discovered an issue with that, the SD cards have to be formatted to FAT32.

If you have a card reader on your computer, you can open "My Computer," highlight the card drive and select File > Format.

You can also format the card while it's in the player too.

I bought one of these today at Target for $25. I got all my music on it without any problems. But i'm on the mix max website trying to download the free podcasts and it keeps telling me I have to be logged in, but i'm already logged in. I can't get it to work for nothing

Hey, I want one for $25!! I check my Target daily, and they don't have any marked down yet! The Tinkerbell one had 1 on the shelf, and it sold at $50 a few weeks ago. I'm sad, I want a good Target that has stock they mark down like that :(

It does not work!! I tried it today :( I have the mix max and I got the sponge bob fusion clip.......I put it in and it said not supported file! I called the customer service number on the package and the lady said it does not work on mix max but you can use the disney clips in the fusion player but the screen is smaller.......hope this helps

The Tinkerbell is the only one that was clearanced out here.

Has anyone got a different style for 75% off?

I bought the mix max for my nephew over a year ago, after weeks of converting videos, and putting them onto a sd card for him, I renamed the mix max the X*##!! mix max!!!!!

Such a nightmare to work with!!!!

He is still enjoying it today, watches it daily, I was able to find a "jam stand" for it, that charges the mix max, and also works as a speaker so he can watch in bed w/o using the headphones........

My advice on the mix max?? Save your aggrevation, time, return the mix max and buy an ipod..........it costs more initially, but it is SOOOO easy!!!

I have bought to mix max for my dd3 in the past 2years on clearance at Target. This month I bought the nick video player for her and started trying to figure out how to put her movies on it.........I finally said forget this! Returned it to Target and just went to the apple store and bought an 8gb ipod........

I got a silicone case, that wraps around the entire ipod, covers the screen, and comes with a lanyard so it is attached to her if she gets up........with the mix max, I was able to find some silicone cases on clearance but the screen is not covered...........

I hope this makes sense...........Disney could have such great product if they only kept adding more titles to their sd cards........

Wow. I bought MIx Mix players for both of my kiddos for Christmas and they enjoy watching the movies I purchased on the little cards and the music, too. I had NO IDEA I could download movies onto blank cards to be played on there though. None at all!

I've been cutting/pasting everyone's thoughts/ideas on how to do it easiest qand I'm going to hand it to my IT man at work for help!! :goodvibes

I found a POTC one at Target today for $25. We are driving to Disney in June (15 hour trip). I think DS will love this. It is going to be a surprise that we will give him the morning we leave. I also found two music cards on clearance for $3.75 each...a radio Disney one and a Corbin Bleu one. I am going to check into getting movies on an SD card and the Disney Mix Central site as well. Are there any other places that have the movies and music cards at a good price? Target is the only place I have ever seen these.
Thanks!

I have found the cards on clearance at both Wal-Mart and Target but I purchased the players themselves at Christmastime from the WM web site. My Jamstand I bought from ebay.

I just bought the pink princess mix max for DD and after I got it home ordered the HSM one for myself! These things are awesome! I loaded songs and pictures onto it but didn't take the time yet to download a movie onto it. I need to stock up on some more SD cards before August and get to copying. So far I have found it to be pretty easy to work with.:goodvibes

BTW, ecost.com sells 2 GB SD cards for $7.99 each. That's where I buy mine. They also have Finding Nemo shirts for $1. Shipping is a little expensive ($9 to me) but it's still worth it.

FWIW,
Diana

Movie Clearance:
Freaky Friday was $4.99 at my Target today (75% off). I scanned both High School Musicals, both Princess Diaries and POTC and they were all still $19.99

My daughter and I went out trying to find some videos on clearance and they were all full price. I have 1 more Target to check tomorrow, maybe i'll find something there.
I did end up buying the Pocket DVD Wizard just a bit ago and am currently doing my first dvd on there. We'll see how that goes!

My Targets don't mark stuff down like some of the others who post on the boards. Seems like they all get the great mark downs and my store still has them at full price or 30 percent off. I think I need a job at Target just so I can know when the mark downs are.

Hey Mix Max owners - when you play the plain music SD cards on the mix max, does the screen show you anything? Like maybe what song it is or the artist?
