Disney Mix Max Download ????

I recently bought my daugher a Disney mix max for her birthday (tomorrow). But now I''m second guessing myself. Can you download the songs off of Itunes or the videos like you would with an Ipod? I have a shuffle for myself, so I know how easy those are. Just wondering if I should have left that one sit and bought a new Ipod Nano.

It appears that it can use files that play thru Windows Media Player. Here's a link to the User's Manual. (Note that this is a .pdf file, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader) Beginning on page 16, it shows how to download and sync files. I'm not sure that you can use iTunes files without doing some sort of conversion first. Apple has a unique format for their files that make them unusable on other mp3 and mp4 players.

MAybe of you burned the iTunes stuff to a disk first, then loaded the disk into your Mix library some how......

Is the disney mix max easy? My husband and I are not very computer literate. Should we just buy our 7 year old son a mp3 player or I pod? We want something easy to down load to. songs and movies / cartoon videos are all we are going to do.

I find the iTunes software very user friendly. We have two shuffles and two Nanos and I manage all music with my laptop.

DD has had hers for a year and only has 1 clipto watch. We haven't been able to fiqure out how to download onto it. I printed off the instructions so many we can fiqure out how to use it. DH fixes computers and can't fiqure it out (he may not have tried very hard )

My 9 yr. old has been downloading songs to his mix max for a year.
The music usually comes from a cd though, so that may be easier to do.

If you are used to iTunes I would just get him an iPod. I love my MixMax and it is very easy to load MP3s (copy and paste the file to the MixMax folder) but it plays MP3s and WMA (and videos WMV9) and also has a JPEG viewer. It does not play MP4s or whatever iTunes format is called.
