Disney Magical Express question

Our flight will not be getting in until 4:51pm. Should I go ahead and wait for my luggage or can I be pretty assured that my luggage will be in my room before 9pm?

The flight time was not preferred but the price was as I needed a nonstop flight and this fit the bill for me. Normally I arrive by noon so this late arrival has me a little concerned.

If your flight arrives ontime at 4:51, you should be at your resort by 6:30 at the lastest..more likely by 6-6:10. Your bags will more than likely arrive before 9. DME tells us to expect our bags up to 3 hrs after resort checkin, but most people get them well before that time.

If for some reason, you don't want to be disturbed by having your luggage arrive late at night, you can pack what you need the 1st night in your carry on and ask Bell Services at your resort to hold delivery until morning. Otherwise, I would think that you should have your luggage by 10:00 PM. We usually arrive to MCO late in the afternoon and then head out either to a park or Downtown Disney. Our luggage has always been in our room when we returned.

sounds like we will probably be OK then. I am hoping to at least hit MK for a couple hours on our arrival day even though it kind of goes against the grain for park touring. I figure that has to be a decent CS place around Main St. to relax and eat at.

Good plan... your bags should be in your room when you return. Not really a CS restaurant on Main Street, but you can go to Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland where there is plenty of seating and windows OR you can go to Pecos Bills (my favorite CS) in Adventureland to soak it all in!

Both of those should get me back to the front of main street so we can rush to the bus after fireworks.
