Disney Magical Express - name not on reservation

Hi. I did an web search and couldn't find an answer to my questions. I'm hoping someone here will know!

I am going to Disney for the Princess Half Marathon with two other ladies. We are sharing a hotel room, but one of the ladies is only staying part of the time so her name is not on the hotel reservation. My questions are:

1. Will this person be able to use the Disney Magical Express transportation from the airport if her name is not on the reservation?
2. Will we all be able to book transportation even though there are only 2 names on the reservation, but 3 people who need transportation?
3. Since she is leaving before the end of the hotel stay, will she be able to book transportation back to the airport?

2. Yes, provided your transportation is NOT ME (ie: towncar, taxi, Mears, rental car)

As I understand it, there is no reason NOT to put her name on the reservation unless you're on some kind of package deal. I don't know Disney's stance on extra adults in the room but not listed on the reservation.

We booked tickets for the parks with the reservation. On the Disney site, there is no way to book tickets for some of your party and not all. She is not doing any parks so we did not put her on the reservation.

will incur an additional charge per night based on resort level (less at values - more at deluxes). But, if she isn't on the reservation, she can't use Magical Express.

She can go to the Mears desk at the airport & book a ride to the resort through them. Mears actually provides the busses for DME but also have their own system you can use. And she can also arrange to use them for the return trip. Someone here may be able to tell you the cost of using Mears round trip. I'd compare that to the cost of actually putting her on the reservation & decide that way.

And, since as you indicate above, tickets are involved, booking the Mears shuttle would definitely be cheaper.

She will need to be on the reservation to use ME. You will need to call and have her added to your reservation. Since her arrival/departure times are different than yours, they can note that and set up ME for her. There may be an additional room charge for the extra adult.

If you don't want to add her to the room, then she will need for find alternate transportation to the resort and then later back to the airport.

My DH was not on our reservation, because he surprised me at Disney. When he got to Orlando airport he went to ME counter and told them which hotel he had to get to and that he wasn't on the reservations. They made him pay $20.00 and he got on the ME bus to my hotel. Going back home. We told them the same thing at the Hotel, he needed to get back on to ME but wasn't on the resssies because it was a surprise visit, and they gave us a slip for him to get on with us.
You can try and just go to ME Counter and tell them she was a last minute guest and not on the reservation, She'll have to pay but she should be able to get on ME. If it turns out to be a Mears bus instead of ME, maybe you all could get on that bus with her. I do believe ME will work with you.
MY DH did call ME in advance and they were the ones who told him to just go to the ME counter when he landed.

Since you have a package you can't add her now unless she has the same entitlements as the rest of the party. You can however add her after you check in and all guests have received their KTTW cards (MB's). She will receive a kttw card without park tickets or dining but she will be eligible at that point to use DME for the return trip. There is an extra fee per night for the 3rd adult.

Inbound you can pay for her to ride via the Mears Shuttle and she "may" well be on the same DME bus as you are. Otherwise you can share a towncar or cab one way and all use DME on the return.

This is pretty much the same as going to the Mears counter and paying there.
Once your dh arrived, did you add him to the room reservation. That would have made it perfectly legitimate for him to ride back to the airport.

We were sitting here trying to remember what we did to go home. Then he remembered. My DH stayed at the hotel the day of check out, while the rest of us went to MK for lunch. So when he checked out of the room he went to guest service and told them he needed to get back to the airport with us, but he wasn't on the room. Guest service added his name to the room and then gave him the slip to get on ME. all that was done the day of check out. Maybe we were lucky or maybe it 's no big deal, we will never know. We did not have a problem at all, we were staying at French Quarters at the time.

No luck. He paid to take mears to the resort. Then he was added to your room after you checked in which is a legitimate way to get ME back.

After checkin you can add a person to the room (assuming it doesn't push the room past fire code occupancy) without the person having the same plan as the room was booked under. If you checked in then added him he wouldn't have had to pay mears as long as there was time to phone ME and get his name to them. But it sounds like you didn't know he was coming.
