So I booked a package for November 1-8 at the end of June and when I called the girl told me I had a pin attached to my name and was going to apply it. She gave me a couple of options (Pop, WL, AK or CBR). I would have really like POFQ due to having the queen beds but it was not available but they told me to check back. So I called today because the pin that I have ends tomorrow. Come to find out it was that pin where I was supposed to pay for it up front. Well I did not want to be locked into anything and I told them that I was never told that and it was obvious because I still had a balance so after talking to a couple different people they put me through to a nice gentleman in guest services and he apologized for the confusion saying the discount was a trial by marketing but he couldn't even see what my actual offer was. So what he did was offer us the free quick service dining meal plan which I accepted and upgraded to the regular meal plan. So my price I was quoted with the first pin was $2058.00 - that is for 7 nights standard room with 7 day park hopper and more ticket. Now with my new discount my new price for the same as above but with disney dining is $2598.00. So I am paying $504 more than my first quote but if I had had to buy the dining plan it would have been $1288.00. So with this new deal I basically saved $784.00. I am very happy and grateful for such a nice man in guest services! By the way this is for myself, DH, and 2 DD's ages 13 and 15!

I love hearing stories like this...congratulation on the free quick service dining!!!!
I'll say it before and I will say it again - those poor CM's are so confused by these new marketing PIN offers they don't know which way is up

Which resort did you end up booking?

Congrats on the savings! That is great!

We booked POP. We really wanted POFQ but I couldn't justify the $600 difference when we spend so little time at the resort. If regular dining had been offered at the moderates we would have done it but only quick dining was offered for values and moderates and we wanted to upgrade to regular. It will be fine. The kids are very excited and that's what really counts.

I think you will have a blast! I want to try Pop but with a family of 5 we are pretty limited in where we can stay. I am excited that they are building a new resort with rooms to accomodate bigger families!

I agree with you there about the bigger families. We are actually a family of six but the two older girls will be in college when we go. Needless to say they were not happy but it is next to impossible to have a time when everyone could go with school and sports and such. So we are going in November and I am trying to plan a trip for them to go in early January when they are both on break. But I look forward to when we can all go together again!
