Boy this is one for the "only in Minnesota" books. Only in Minnesota do you see someone driving to work in a Jeep with no top on it, when it's 28 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a NUT!

LOL One of the coaches drove to practice in his Mustang Convertible with the top down and we all commented to his wife that he was nuts! She just laughed and said that she doesn't think he has EVER driven it with the top up! It's a convertable, it's meant to be driven that way! Then she made the comment that he also feels if your in FL you have to wear shorts, even if it's in the 50's, it doesn't matter, it's FL!

In the Mustand you are way down low, and mostly enclosed, even with the top down, and you can crank the heat (LOL, I don't drive mine with the top up either). But this jeep, the doors were off and everything so he was completely exposed. Totally insane!!!

Thanks, it was Jocelyn. I knew it started with a 'J', just couldn't remember the rest. And you are fueling my fear that I was promised one thing, but delivered another. I expect that from some sales organizations, but not DCL. I will follow up.

I remember when Steve and his brother were in college, his brother's cavalier was broken into. They smashed in the 2 side windows on the drivers side. So, Steve took my car to work, his brother took Steve's car to work and I had to drive the cavalier to the glass place. It was snowing and blowing and cold!! I had the heat on high, a hat, gloves, scarf around my face, and I was still a popscicle by the time I got there. Even the guys working there felt sorry for me! LOL I told Steve that him and his brother owed me BIG time for that one!

Okay, this has been driving me crazy, so I pulled the F&F Certificate and no where on it does it state that you get the 10% AND the OBC. JUST the OBC.

"Family Or Friends: Book a Dinsey cruise on the same sailing as your family or friends and then fax this Certificate to DCL at 407- or Mail to DCL at....After you book, you'll receive a $100 OBC on a 3-4-or 5- night cruise or a $200 OBC on a 7 night or longer cruise"

It also says at the bottom that it can not be combined with other offers.

I really remember restating what the F&F Offer was and when this came up I was really sure it was only for the OBC, NOT the 10% off too.

I hope that DCL didn't miss lead some of you. I can't imagine that she would have? But I don't know, I wasn't there.

I would think they would just have to go with what the Certificate says.

I remember the certificates (we booked two cruises) were handed to us at the end of the transaction with the comment similar to "family or friends can get the same deal as you have just received, if they book within the 30 day time frame." Now I don't have the best memory, but if Sandy and Allen remembered the same thing...Hmmmm...Kinda interesting. I'll know to pay more attention next time and maybe get Jocelyn to write the deal down on the certificate with her signature. Randy

I am not going crazy over it, I guess. What is "worrying" me is the thought that Disney might have misled someone into "thinking" that they would get more then what they really would. I can't imagine they would. I would say they will only grant the OBC since that is all that is on the certificate/what's in writing.

I have not heard or seen from Gail! I hope she is not stuck in bed with the virus that Merkie had!

Michele...you are truly a good person. I, on the other hand trust very few people and believe that most companies including Disney in a one-on-one situation, might say anything to leave a good lasting impression on the customer/client and then always fall back to "what is in writing."

I also believe that on occasion employees might make mistakes and say the wrong thing. The employer/company should then be responsible for what was said. Not sure if either of these scenarios played out this time, probably not, but I think it could...even with Disney. Sorry, but I deal with this type of deception in my profession and it has created this "trust no one" attitude. Randy

Awe, thanks Randy. I am one of those people that tries to look at the glass as half full! I would just hate to think that one of my favorite companies would try and deceive my friends! It's just wrong, but I also know that is they the world is.

We are suppose to get rain/snow tomorrow. It's been so cold. Got down in the teens last night and didn't get much above 30 today. Another snow front is on the schedule for Friday. The boys would LOVE a snow day. Thing is, if we get maybe 2 inches, they might call a snow day. Your boys have to wait until you get a bit more then that!
