Slowly collecting...14 necklaces and 2 hats. Hats have not been dropping at all.

Relics are plentiful from chests. And, oddly, my leaderboard for trophies seems to be screwed up. Yesterday, #2 had 200 something trophies. Today, #2 has 27. I'm over 400 and in #1.

I am in a similar situation. I need 1 necklace and 2 ear hats to welcome Matangi. Will see how the next round of collection goes. At this point, I may just pull the plug and use 130 gems. Then I can level up Simea or Moni before the token requirements are inflated.

Started for collecting for Matangi yesterday. I have 1 and 1. I have the EC, but I will never get the flower common tokens (30/65) let alone the tokens. Oh well. With Jason's early comments I was prepared and I am not that disappointed. I am almost back up to 500 gems, but I don't think I am going to spend them on Semai (or whatever the buyable character for Moana was). I guess I will see how much Matangi will cost in gems, but will probably save my gems for the next event.

For Figment I am at 11/75, 18/60 and 2/40.

Seems like some of these events may be serving as some kind of gem reset

I would not doubt they are manipulating this somehow. I'm sitting at 337 gems and have not had a hat drop in days...still sitting at 3, even though I have all the necklaces. I am not in gem range yet...10 hats needed at 50 gems each means I need 500 gems.

Look, I get this is a for-profit game. I won't argue that. Most things are for-profit. Casinos are for-profit, for example. But this game should not be a gamble. Spend six hours on a task and get nothing back for it. It's not like experience or a boss battle (like Legend of Zelda) or anything is playing a hand in the drops...they are "random" and depend on zero skill from the player. That's the maddening thing...no matter what I do, I can't affect the outcome.

If I'm playing Mario Kart, my ability to get power ups or screech around corners or the kart I pick make all the difference. In this game, there is literally nothing I can do to increase my chances of a drop. I can cross my fingers, "hope" the interns and managers of GL have the drops programmed right and continue to advocate for the time walls getting taken down.

Would more time to collect help? I don't know. But it sure couldn't hurt...unless they made the tokens even rarer if the time walls came down. From experience, we know they have screwed up events before. Silly Symphonies, most recently, was an absolute joke...so much so they gave out tokens. This event-Kele to 4, Figment (!!!!!) to 2, the Clam at 3-is no different. (Figment gets tokens through 24 hour gambling tasks and a free chest every day. It's a blatant money grab to get players to pay for Figment to help in this event. It's complete BS.

That is Interesting. I am also down to the number of hat for which I have gems. I will not use all my gems that way, but people would. I’m willing to pay half of my gems for her.

Welcomed Matangi. Seemed like my hats drops picked up once I had all the necklaces. I ended up using lots of time skips for the flowers so Simea and Kele were useful for the final character. Moni remained at 6 and no Figment.

Figment at 23 keys, 17 paintbrushes, and 6 ears. Starting Mickey and Buzz/Zerg 24 hour runs again.

I got my last two Ear Hats this morning and have Welcomed Matangi. She is out on first quest and I already have enough tokens to level her to two. The tokens surprisingly came very quick once I Welcomed her.
